A request to Bethesda

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:57 pm

I've been dating this girl for awhile now and it's starting to get serious. Well, I devoted a large part of my life to Morrowind in my youth. Now I'm adjusting to the advlt years and it's time for me to settle down. Well this girl is definitely the type of girl that I could see a future with. And on 11/11/11 I plan on proposing her, but I want to do it in a unique way. If Bethesda could just include a unnamed npc corpse in Skyrim that when you open it's corpse you see a note that says "Even in death I will love you forever. T.S." And while playing the game I am most looking forward to and being able to show her that and then propose to her would definitely be a dream come true. I know that Bethesda does read the forums, but if someone could possibly pass it a long. Anyway to make this happen would mean the World to me. Like I've devoted a lot of my life to the Elder Scrolls series I want to devote my life to this girl. It would mean more than the World to me and I'm sure it would mean something to her.

Maybe you could get up early and mod it in? Like right at the start so that she would see it right away?

Cute idea, though.

Haha yeah, but she will understand.

And I sadly only have an xbox 360 capable of running it. Otherwise I would mod it in.

A Fallout 3 fan done something very interesting to propose her boyfriend. She asked some modders here on the forums to create a quest-mod to propose marriage. It all worked perfectly, she installed the mod on the computer and when he went to play he saw it.

Happy ending, they got married :D
You could wait a little bit and ask someone to mod it

EDIT: Oh, you can't mod... well... I don't know then.

That made me lol. Cute idea though. Maybe the corpse could have a nice ring on it. Even if Bethesda does put it in, good luck finding it on the first day of playing :P

Wait, so not only do you want to propose via a video game but you also want to propose via a note left on a corpse? I like your style, man.

I figured that they could at least put it in a town or something... or near the town. And possibly tell me the town to help with finding it.

A year is a long time, man.
while I must admit it's pretty ?romantic?, you should probably stick to the modding idea...

It's possible, but I wouldn't have even thought of proposing to her if I thought we would break-up. Let alone asking and possibly let my heart be broken in front of the World. ;)

But you know sometimes you just have to take a risk.

Console gamer. If all else fails I will photoshop a picture of a dead body with a ring and a note saying that! Unless of course I find a better way to ask. But still the thought just came up in my mind and I figured it's worth asking because I love the girl and would do anything for her.

I don't think photoshopping notes onto dead people is going to get you your girl...

I was kidding. If anything I would jump off High Hrothgar, let my character die, and then tell her that. And propose. ;)

No. But I do hope that Bethesda might do it. It's worth the shot asking openly on the forums. Even at the risk of all the potential flame I might get or people who do doubt it would happen. I love this girl and she makes me happy. So that's all that really matters to me. And even if it doesn't happen I will find some other way to propose to her. Without photoshopping, modding, or anything with a computer. But that's only if they don't.

I see, I just thought it was weird the photoshopping a dead body thingy

But, I think, it would be cool if Bethesda created a quest about marriage like the one in Fallout 3 (Rivet City), and replaced the NPCs with your names. And then you played through it with your GF next to you, and the NPC would propose to the other NPC just like you would with your girl. And then you turned to her, with that smile on your face and then you showed the ring.

That would be nice. Adding a small quest in this stage of development isn't hard. You should send an e-mail to one of Bethesda's staff.

If you could possibly get one to me and pass it along through a pm it would be much appreciated. But a quest would definitely be awesome, but I'd be fine with an NPC. And it seems more likely, you know?

But why a corpse? Isn't that starting off on the wrong foot?
