Request: Tamriel Worldspace Duplicate

Post » Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:25 am

Hello.

I was wondering if any of you with super-computers would be able to help me out? I want to make a Duplicate of the Tamriel Worldspace, containing all the items et cetera in it-- but my own PC, despite being realtively new and high-enough-end for gameplay, isn't able to manage this without CTD-ing.

So, I was wondering if anyone would be upto making a .esp with just a duplicate of the Tamriel world? I'm guessing it's going to be a pretty big file so I'll understand if people are hesitant, but it would be really useful to me if someone could give it a go :)

I copied the Oblivion.esm, renamed it Copy.esm, loaded it up in TES4EDIT and removed all records except the Worldspace. But doing Check for Errors afterwards generates thousands of error messages due to missing references.
Which method did you use?

TES4EDIT is still running Check for Errors after I started it almost half an hour ago...

I don't think making a copy of it that way is going to be practical. Which raises the question - what do you need the duplicate worldspace for? Perhaps simply using it as a parent to whatever you're doing will work?

I used the CS-->Worldspaces-->Duplicate option.

Arthmoor,
What I have in mind is a "future" Mod-- where you can see the implications of your actions in the future (and possibly the past, if I could have gotten the copy to work myself)-- it's a big idea, I know, but it's something I've wanted to do for ages, and since I have no other Mod projects on at the moment it'll make a good diversion for me. What I have planned involves a LOT of changes (many can be done en-mass like changing the Water Types) or just with patience (reworking the Ground Textures), so the base part of it is at least possible. I don't think a Parent Worldspace will work however, as Ground changes will persist if memory serves (which I *think* would create issues with things like UL)

Edit: Anyone else having issues witih POsts taking AGES to send to the server?
