PC requirements anybody ?

Post » Wed Nov 19, 2008 8:24 pm

Hey does anybody know what the Requirements for the PC version of this game will be, despite all the crying and biching about it not going to be as great as Crysis I want to know, in fact Crysis Warhead played better on my system than Crysis, so now, I post this because I need to save up in order to buy this game and upgrade my PC, so any crytek people out there? Please tell me what I might need for my PC to run this game in all the glory.... !
Because I read a report of this game crashing on one of the E3 computers, and thats really disturbing news, because they have some massive systems, and I don't have the money to upgrade to that kind of hardware...
Sincerely awaiting a good response...

If you were able to run Crysis and warhead at ultra, Crysis 2 will run fine.
As long as you dont need pumped up tessalation models ;-)
But its still not 100% sure thatf Dx11 will be fully supported.
I run Crysis with mster and rygels on 1680*1050 and get about 25- 36 FPS. I use a Q9650 with a Gtx 280. Thats more than enough for Crysis 2.

Crysis 2 is being built with CryENGINE3 and is expected to set new benchmarking numbers in the area of graphical performance. When you look at Crysis 1 there were scenes that started to lag my system (not much but a little bit). I was running the AMD II Phenom Black Edition 64bit with 8GB of PC3 RAM at 10666Mhz. Crossfired ATI XFX 5770's with screen resolution of 5760x1080 because I was also using eyefinity with a widescreen fixer. I also had ultra high settings on and it only lags when there are lots of huge explosions all around. Hopefully this will give you an idea. Game on

Hey finally i know somebody who uses eyefinity ;-)

But hey come on... youre a "overfreak" by playing Crysis that way,,, i think Spinechiller wanted to know if he will be able to play the game the normal way .

Well I run Crysis 1 @1680x1050 2xEdgeAA with CCC 2.21 LVL 5 (looks and runs better than Very High). On contact, I get 27-50fps average 40 and my system is pretty med-end:

GTX 260 (Very Overclocked)
Intel core i5 661 @ 3.33ghz
4GB DDR3
Windows 7 64-bit

I should get 50+ frames on C2.

P:S The PCs used @ gamescom consisted of GTX 260s and i7 920s

Crytek said in an interview that "if you had a pc that could play crysis on medium settings, expect to play crysis 2 higher and better." Not sure what interview is was though.

Yeah but if you average @ 30fps, you should climb up to 50fps in C2
