PC requirements for CRYSIS 2
I have
Core 2 Quad Q9550
4 GB RAM OCZ GOLD (Dual-ch)
GTX 285 1GB XFX
Windows 7 64bits
How much FPS, will have?
I think you will be fine. You might want to upgrade your video card to a 460 in the future if you want DX11, but I would wait for a hardware recommendation press release to come out from Crytek before you jump on something like that.

Tesselation seems like an interesting prospect, almost worth waiting for a dual die variant to hit the ground though, as there is still significant headroom on x16 bus for improved bandwidth.

What about this rig it's mainstream(budget): http://www.xfire.com/profile/bammasta/
Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the info. Any suggestions/ upgrade ideas are welcome. The processor is also oced to 3.2 Ghz with some headroom still. I'm considering a second 5770 or waiting for the 6770.

The Barts are speculated to be x2 faster or more than the 5700s and the 6770 is supposed to be almost as fast as the 5850. Hopefully the 6000 series SI improves over tessellation, bandwidth, and xfire scalability,
but we will see.

You need a high-end gaming system from the day of the release.
What does that mean?
A computer with a high-end cpu and gpu and plenty of memory.

CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition

GPU:
AMD ATi Radeon HD 6870

Wow, you have to be rich for something like that.

Heh, you won't need a GTX480 or equivalent to run Crysis2, though i'm sure Crysis2 will put it to good use!

If you could run Crysis then you'll have an even easier time running Crysis2 whilst it's looking even prettier :)

Optimise, optimise, optimise!

Crysis 2 is starting to sound pretty good. So tense.

In case you didnt know, the Radeon 6870 beats out an overclocked GeForce GTX460 by about 1 - 2 fps and still doesnt win in the tesselation department.

Please do your research, because the Radeon 6870 is nowhere even close to comparable to a GeForce GTX480. ;)

Where exactly did he state that the 6870 was as good or better than a GTX480? It is, however, probably the greatest value card AMD have on the market at the moment :)

Some of this info. is true. But the only problem AMD has with its gpu's is the support. An Nvidia wont cause any suspicious lapses in game graphics. But an ATI would.

It's just a matter of support.

What do you mean by "Nvidia wont cause any suspicious lapses in game graphics" ?

Both nVidia and ATi/AMD have had their fair share of dodgy drivers. Let's not forget nVidia's recent drivers which literally cooked video cards and ATi's drivers which caused BC2 load times to be twice as long as nVidia based systems.

No one brand is clearly worse than the other :)

Your right, (Sorry about that) but its always been obvious. It's just a longtime observation concerning Nvidia support for the majority of games since 2005.
