Pc requirements!

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:46 pm

As there's a new engine, and what looks like enhanced phsyxic and shadowing It looks like requirements could be of todays top standard, or high or so. I could be wrong.

will these specs be okay

CPU:- i7 5960X - 4.4Ghz
MotherBoard:- Asus x99 Rampage V Extreme
Cooler:- H110
PSU:- Corsair AX1200i
GPU:- AMD Sapphire Vapor-X 290X 8GB x2
Ram:- 32gb 4x8 3000Mhz DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum
SSD:- Samsung 1TB 850 PRO SS
HDD:- 6TB x4 Western Digital
Monitors: 3X 32inch monitors each have 2560X1440 resolution

Have there been any listing on actual system requirements?!

BEFORE ANY TROLL COMMENTS ARE MADE - I made this thread because most games today are heading in direction of NVIDIA and I don't want Fallout 4 to be stuffed over for amd fans by nvidia nuts!

as we Know usually enhanced shadowing and phsyx usually work best with NVIDIA ..... this is the point in this thread...

games like all latest:

witcher games

evolve

gta

crysis

And many more top titles are becoming nvidia best games :/ hope this isn't for fallout 4!

I would assume if you can run any PC port of a current gen console game, ya pretty much set to run 4

Evident show off is evident.

Also, calling the thread "PC requirements?" would have been less misleading.

We don't have any official system reqs, so we can't say. Judging by the requirements of their most recent previous games (FO3/NV/Skyrim), I doubt that they'll be Crysis-like system crushers.

--------

(I always wonder about these "look at my Uber System Of Doom, will it be able to run it?" threads. Either, as mentioned, they're some sort of backhanded show-off thing.... or are the people with these ultra systems really so insecure about their capability? I mean, my system is a crippled paperweight in comparison, and it's never even occurred to me that I wouldn't be able to run FO4..... not just in reference to this thread, by the way, but a comment on similar ones I've seen on different game forums in the past year or two.)

Bethesda has already said that they won't release pc specs until much closer to the game comes out.

Seriously? Both Xbox One and PS4 are built around AMD parts, both processor and graphics... surely if you're a hardware enthusiast (which from that rig you would appear to be) you knew that?

Eh, on the other hand, I suppose if someone's really into PCs they might just not follow info about consoles.

But, yeah, your rig will chew up FO4, spit it out, jump up and down on the remains and then sneer. You're fine

[edit]

Eh, not sure about driving all of those 3 monitors at high framerates. But if your rig can cope with any current AAA PC title it ought to be ok with FO4. They're not looking to only sell to people who can afford $4,000 PCs :D

First off i've never owned a console i thought they were nvidia based, so thanks for information!

and your right I know nothing about consoles, i thought they were nvidia based thank you I've learnt something new!

just as we know games like crysis 3.... are gpu and power hungry performance games, didn't want it be like that.

Heh, never owned one myself, but I perked up my ears at the news that both consoles had gone for almost identical hardware because it means it's much more cost effective for developers to target all 3 platforms (Xbox-One, PS4, PC) without having the horrendous porting problems that used to bedevil PS3 ports of PC/Xbox-360 or vice-versa - and it was nice to see the (relative) underdog AMD get the gig, just because it helped them stay competitive commercially with Nvidia, and a bit of competition is almost always good for the customers :)

Only 32GB of RAM? What did you build it for? Running Word?

Meanwhile, in the real world, you don't need more than 8 unless you do professional 3D modelling or video rendering.

Currently, that is, ask again next year

And in case that was a sincere question, that system is future proof about to the year 2030 :lmao:

That's wise, they'll know better then how much the crappy port requires hardware compensation :teehee:

Any particular reason? The AMD card he has may not be quite so good at handling extremely high resolutions as the GTX 980, but I gather it's a lot cheaper.

I think you'll be ok.

You'll just have to find a workaround for beth's extraordinarily demanding lighting issues. Same as the rest of us.

I certainly hope you built that yourself rather than buy it from a store. The components alone are about $3,500 and that's not including a case mouse or keyboard. You will probably be fine with that computer for the next 8-10 years. If you need to upgrade something in the next 4 years I'd suggest a Nvidia GPU. I like Nvidia because they optimize and upgrade constantly and you'll have fewer problems.
