CK Requirements...

Post » Fri Feb 26, 2016 7:24 pm

I haven't done any modding since the NeverWinter Nights game from waaaaay back when where you could run your own little personal server with your own "world" made with their (Bioware) creation utility.
I am thinking of building a PC for the SOLE purpose of making mods for F-4.

So, a question for all the Beth-Game Modders out there...

Does the CK require the same PC specs, or higher/lower, as the game itself?

Lots of memory should be about the only requirement.

If Adobe Photoshop runs well, so should the Creation Kit.

I feel comfortable running it on my laptop, which is not a gaming machine by any stretch of the imagination.

Secret of running it through Mod Organizer is give it a Creation Kit profile, with just the mods you are working on.

Too many files to load will crash it.

Edited to add: Get up to speed with Skyrim if you can find it cheap. There won't be many changes in the Fallout 4 version,

and anything you learn from the Skyrim tutorials will serve you in good stead.

I don't believe we've ever put out official system requirements for a kit before. Rest assured, if the game runs on your PC, you should be able to handle Creation Kit.
