The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: Are they attacking me? Defend self. Otherwise leave them alone.
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: Practicality
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: Making
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: If there's info out there about them, yes.
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?: Yep. Never joined TG or DB with this char.
When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?: I confess to using Lydia as a packmule. Usually though I try to take out the enemy before she blunders into my sword.
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?: Yep. If I make something that ends up better than my current gear and that gear is better than my followers, it goes to them.

How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I don't make much distinction between them. It's their individual views I consider.

Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: Stormcloaks
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: No decision(Haven't done DB yet)

This one doesn't really feel like me.... but I enjoy the character more than anything else. He isn't much like me, but my character tendencies probably say something Freudian about me.

Approximate Age:
25
Race:
Khajiit
Gender:
Male
Aptitude(Stealth, Combat, Magic, or mixed?):
Stealth
Top 10 Major Skills:
Archery, Sneak, 1H, Light Armor, Illusion, pick pocket, lockpicking, alchemy
Criminal History:
Felonies/Murders everywhere, few bounties
Allegiances:
Sithis, gold
Factions:
Dark Brotherhood, thieves, Imperial Legion
Horseback or on foot?:
Foot
Do you spend more time in towns/villages/cities, or adventuring/questing/wandering the wild?:
Almost equal, spend a lot of time stalking potential thievery targets
Do you organize and/or manage your inventories at homes?:
not extensively
Do you keep items that you never plan on using?:
Extremely rare or cool ones ( butterfly in jar)
Do you pay attention to encumberment on a regular basis?:
It is my worst enemy
Priorities(Gold, loot, quests, relationships, etc.)?:
Gold, causing as much chaos that is untraceable to my character
How do you get what you want from a NPC?:
Preferably trickery, often stealing, honest dealing if they provide good incentive
A lone friendly traveler is encountered in the wild, how do you approach him/her?:
Leave beggars, bards (unless they are awful, I'm thinking about a certain quest), and Imperial legion alone. Everyone else is a risk/benefit ratio
The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?:
quick death
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?:
Practicality- but I tend to stay away from high armor ratings, preferring to use the Dark Brotherhood outfit
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?:
A little of both, as my character is quite rich
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?:
Absolutely, I like to weigh the options. My character murders often, but with at least some reason
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?:
I tend to act the exact opposite way in game as I would in real life, but I think my cynicism comes into the way I play. I kill people in-game that natural selection should take out in real life.
When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?:
companions tend to blow my cover, so no thanks (I'm not a big immersion freak, but nothing is worse than having someone make an inane comment about how beautiful an ancient ruin is as I am about to slit a bandit's throat.)
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?:
-
Do you have them carry most of your burden(ex. loot, weapons, armor, etc.)?:
-
Does it bother you when NPCs say bad things about you?:
I have been known to stalk and kill altmer who carelessly insult me, unless the insult is funny. I don't mind NPCs making fun of my criminal history, but racism or ignorant jibes are a sure way to death. Also i kill people who simply say stupid/annoying things.
If any of those NPCs were to travel outside of civilization, what would you do, if anything?:
they won't make it outside their house
Do you give up on difficult quests? Do you plan better for a new approach? Do you see it through, no matter how difficult?:
Reload.... reload....reload
Do you interact with NPCs other than for essential needs, wants, or tasks?:
all the time. I am a big people watcher, as they will do some interesting things in this game, and I can punish/reward them accordingly
Do you lie - when it is an option - to receive a greater reward or information?:
always
Do you enjoy learning about the land and people of Skyrim and the history of Tamriel?:
yes, I read many but not most books
Does listening to a NPC's story affect any decisions you make?:
always. Down on your luck= you get to live (unless you are incessantly whiny. Begging for your life is a big no-no too)
Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?:
murderers tend to make great leaders, but not in this khajiit's case
Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?:
try and try again
How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?:
altmer can kiss it. I find it sad that Khajiit are so helplessly addicted to skooma, but the Khajiit caravans give me hope for our people. Argonians have had it rough, I just wish they didn't hate the Dunmer so much, as they have it almost as bad.
Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?:
Dark brotherhood to the letter. Everything else as sneaky as possible. If the sneak eye opens, I kick myself
Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?:
Legion, damn those racist Nords!
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?:
both
Is marriage more of a business transaction than about affinity for a NPC?:
hasn't and probably won't happen, as none have caught my fancy, plus it would feel weird having my cat character marry a human.... and I don't exactly find the Khajiit sixy
If you use magic, what do you use it for?
confusion and stealth
If you use stealth, what do you use it for?
stealing, murder

Approximate Age: 30
Race: Altmer
Gender: Female
Aptitude(Stealth, Combat, Magic, or mixed?): Magic
Top 10 Major Skills: Destruction, Conjuration, Lockpicking, Alchemy, Enchanting, Sneak, Restoration, Light Armor, One-Handed Weapons, Illusion
Criminal History: Highest bounty was 20,000ish
Allegiances: Stormcloaks
Factions: Dark Brotherhood (Listener), Thieves Guild (Guild Master), Mage College (Arch Mage)
Horseback or on foot?: On foot -- faster reactions, more precise control, and I can choose when my horse enters fights more easily.
Do you spend more time in towns/villages/cities, or adventuring/questing/wandering the wild?: It is probably split about 50/50.
Do you organize and/or manage your inventories at homes?: Yes.
Do you keep items that you never plan on using?: Only if they are interesting or notable (trophies).
Do you pay attention to encumberment on a regular basis?: I tend to dump my loot at home between adventures.
Priorities(Gold, loot, quests, relationships, etc.)?: Power!
How do you get what you want from a NPC?: Persuade, Intimidate, Bribe...in that order.
A lone friendly traveler is encountered in the wild, how do you approach him/her?: Unarmed, or as unarmed as a mage ever is.
The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: Ice Spike lobotomy.
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: Practicality determines use, unless I'm taking screenshots...then its purely aesthetics.
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: I tend to use looted or quest reward equipment, mainly because its effects are usually better than what I can buy or make currently.
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: I ask NPCs if they're willing to talk. Sometimes I'll move to real life and ask my woman if she's done the quest or faction.
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?: To a degree. My character is a bit sadistic, but is also loyal to her factions.
When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?: I don't use them. Companions and AoE spells are a recipe for fratricide.
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?: N/A
Do you have them carry most of your burden(ex. loot, weapons, armor, etc.)?: N/A
Does it bother you when NPCs say bad things about you?: No. I tend to deserve it.
If any of those NPCs were to travel outside of civilization, what would you do, if anything?: Ignore them, unless they're useful to me.
Do you give up on difficult quests? Do you plan better for a new approach? Do you see it through, no matter how difficult?: I work at it until I figure it out. One dragon priest fight took me 10 reloads to figure out the best strategy.
Do you interact with NPCs other than for essential needs, wants, or tasks?: Yeah, assuming listening to stories and lore isn't a "want".
Do you lie - when it is an option - to receive a greater reward or information?: I've tried it, but thus far haven't seen any difference in the outcome.
Do you enjoy learning about the land and people of Skyrim and the history of Tamriel?: Yeah. I'm one of those people who reads the books and journals I find.

Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?: I'd be a good Jarl. Fair and objective.
Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?: Revert to a previous save.
How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I don't care much for the Khajiit or the Argonians. Elves are cool, but it can be hard to find an attractive one. Human races are good too, and varied enough to warrant the separate races of human.
Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?: My way (loud, flashy, and with collateral damage). Unless I get an extra reward for treading lightly.
Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: Stormcloaks. No one who attempts removal of my head gains my allegiance.
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: Both
Is marriage more of a business transaction than about affinity for a NPC?: I married Muiri after completing a Dark Brotherhood contract for her. We're both into alchemy and murder, so it's a good match.
If you use magic, what do you use it for? Primary weapon. I either use dual-fisted destruction spells, or I let an atronach tank while I snipe.
If you use stealth, what do you use it for? Stealing things.

The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: Ignore and move on
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: Practicality > aesthetics. If the armor has visual glitches and clips through limbs or other pieces of gear...I'd rather use worse gear that does not.
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: No preference
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: Yes, mostly to see the motivation and the possible outcome. I avoid completing quests with an evil outcome.

Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?: Tricky question. Better than some, not better than others.
Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?: Previous save. The game is turned off only when the frustration is mixed with boredom.
How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I think the argonians are under appreciated, and seem to lack developer attention, probably because real people have an inherent revulsion toward reptiles and the developers don't think it's worth giving this race too much attention
Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?: To the letter, usually.
Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: Imperial Legion
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: None. You really want an answer ? I guess Thieves Guild as they are not psychopaths.

Have you taken into account some of the subconcious reasons people like the Elder Scrolls?
It could be connected with the idea of the collective subconconcious and the monomyth wouldn't you say? People from all cultures have stories of the hero's journey and these game's ae a place they can live out that cultural idea. Just a thought I thought you should consider!

The study is for an undergraduate educational assignment in psychology. Some of my motivation is curiosity.

I am expecting the results to correlate somewhat with the idea that the id - the unconscious part of our personalities that works to satisfy basic urges, needs, and desires - will shine through in many answers and responses. This is hypothesized based on the concept that in large open-world games full of freedom of choice players tend to put 'themselves' into the game. I am also going to attempt finding instances where predicted personality traits based on information provided as a whole conflict with certain answers and responses; leading me to argue that the super-ego may be at play. This is expected, as we all tend to want some of ourselves kept secret to 'save face', even when we feel we have been forward in an anonymous setting. Of course, there is margin for error, and I will likely be wrong in predictions. This is part of the learning process for me, and my peers, so all will not be lost.

I, again, appreciate all help in this endeavor.

P.S. I will also pay attention to demographics, and breakdown how race, gender, age, education, et al. factor into how people play games like Skyrim.

In my case your hypothesis fits exactly.

3 faces: 1 for public, 1 for family, 1 for myself

Approximate Age: 30
Race: Imperial
Gender: Male
Aptitude(Stealth, Combat, Magic, or mixed?): Combat
Top 10 Major Skills: One-Handed, Heavy Armor, Block, Speech, Smithing,
Criminal History: Crossing the border illegally
Allegiances: Empire
Factions: N

Horseback or on foot?: Horseback
Do you spend more time in towns/villages/cities, or adventuring/questing/wandering the wild?: More time adventuring
Do you organize and/or manage your inventories at homes?: Yes
Do you keep items that you never plan on using?: Yes
Do you pay attention to encumberment on a regular basis?: Yes
Priorities(Gold, loot, quests, relationships, etc.)?: Gold

How do you get what you want from a NPC?: Dialogue
A lone friendly traveler is encountered in the wild, how do you approach him/her?: Slowly to size them up at first, then engage dialogue.
The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: Approach slowly then engage combat directly.

Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: Aesthetics first and foremost. Practicality is a close second.
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: I prefer purchasing, but the best gear is almost always found in the wild.

Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: I make every attempt to, and prefer to do quests initiated through deep dialogue or from books.
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?: Yes, most definitely.

When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?: Depending on the situation, I often use companions to tank or control the pace of battle.
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?: Improved equipment.
Do you have them carry most of your burden(ex. loot, weapons, armor, etc.)?: Yes, when encumbrance becomes an issue.
Does it bother you when NPCs say bad things about you?: Yes. Especially when they're protected NPCs.
If any of those NPCs were to travel outside of civilization, what would you do, if anything?: Yes, though preferably through dialogue, but on the rare occasion with a sword.

Do you give up on difficult quests? Do you plan better for a new approach? Do you see it through, no matter how difficult?: Tenacity dictates I try until all options are exhausted. This is usually the case, though I will sometimes come back to it if the quest is just too difficult.

Do you interact with NPCs other than for essential needs, wants, or tasks?: Yes.
Do you lie - when it is an option - to receive a greater reward or information?: Sometimes, but only when not in conflict with the character's morals.
Do you enjoy learning about the land and people of Skyrim and the history of Tamriel?: Very much so.
Does listening to a NPC's story affect any decisions you make?: Yes.
Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?: Yes, I do. On all counts. Mede would also take a seat next to me.

Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?: Previous save. If it continues to be a problem, I do something else.

How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I enjoy the history and lore behind the elves and don't see them as any different beyond appearance. I do have to say that the Altmer are exceptionally stereotypical amongst themselves and if I had to choose a group to which I had prejudice toward, it would be them.

Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?: Usually to the letter, unless the game provides a clear alternative.

Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: Legion.
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: Dark Brotherhood.

Is marriage more of a business transaction than about affinity for a NPC?: Affinity. Which is likely why I haven't married in-game yet.

If you use magic, what do you use it for? Crowd control.
If you use stealth, what do you use it for? Critical bonuses and sometimes to eavesdrop on conversations I know would be interrupted by my approach.

Approximate Age: 22

Aptitude(Stealth, Combat, Magic, or mixed?): Stealth/Combat
Top 10 Major Skills: One-Handed, Light Armour, Sneak, Speech, Archery, Pickpocketing, Smithing, Lockpicking, Alchemy, Restoration
Criminal History: Murder, assault, theft, killing of livestock.
Allegiances: Stormcloaks
Factions: Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild and Companions
Horseback or on foot?: Depends on the distance to travel. Usually on foot.
Do you spend more time in towns/villages/cities, or adventuring/questing/wandering the wild?: I spend most of my time in the wild, but I do venture into towns occasionally.
Do you organize and/or manage your inventories at homes?: Aside from separating my alchemical ingredients from everything else, no.
Do you keep items that you never plan on using?: Yes. The sword given to me by Ulfric.
Do you pay attention to encumberment on a regular basis?: Yes. I tend to pick up more than I can handle.
Priorities(Gold, loot, quests, relationships, etc.)?: Quests, but gold and loot are always nice bonuses. I spend quite a bit of time aimlessly exploring, too.
How do you get what you want from a NPC?: Persuasion followed by intimidation if they're uncooperative, and if all else fails... see criminal history.
A lone friendly traveler is encountered in the wild, how do you approach him/her?: Attempt to strike up a conversation or let them be if they're not in a chatty mood.
The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: If I'm in an unusually good mood, otherwise occupied or at low health, I'll avoid engaging them. If I'm in a neutral or foul mood with nothing better to do, I take them down.
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: I play in first-person perspective, so aesthetics mean nothing to me. The more damage it deals out or the better perks it gives, the more likely I am to use it.
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: I rarely purchase anything aside from crafting supplies; all of my gear is found during my travels.
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: Usually, yes. I'll ask around to see what the word on the street is.
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?: I'm an opportunist, so I'll do just about anything to achieve my desired outcome. I rarely turn against the people I consider my allies, though.
When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?: If there are quite a few enemies to contend with then I'll send my companion in to engage them with melee while I range from afar, but usually I jump right in with them as far as combat goes.
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?: Long-term companions, always. Short-term ones (like those tied to quests), never.
Do you have them carry most of your burden(ex. loot, weapons, armor, etc.)?: Absolutely. They're my little pack mules.
Does it bother you when NPCs say bad things about you?: I'm not one of the more hated races, so they rarely make any comments. I sometimes get annoyed when they make derogatory remarks towards Imperials in general, though, since I'm still an Imperial even if I do side with the Stormcloaks.
If any of those NPCs were to travel outside of civilization, what would you do, if anything?: I would possibly pickpocket a few of their valuables to teach them a lesson, but I wouldn't outright assault or kill them.
Do you give up on difficult quests? Do you plan better for a new approach? Do you see it through, no matter how difficult?: I might temporarily abandon a quest if it's too difficult at the time, but I always come back to it later with more powerful weapons or a better strategy.
Do you interact with NPCs other than for essential needs, wants, or tasks?: I do. I often find what they have to say interesting and like hearing the stories they have to tell.
Do you lie - when it is an option - to receive a greater reward or information?: Almost always.
Do you enjoy learning about the land and people of Skyrim and the history of Tamriel?: Yes.
Does listening to a NPC's story affect any decisions you make?: Yes. If I sympathize with their cause, I'm much more likely to make choices that will benefit them.
Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?: I would be honoured to be made a Jarl and implement changes that would make my hold a better home for its citizens, but the responsibilities of a queen would be too great.
Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?: I'll usually reload a previous save and try again, but if I'm too frustrated to continue or realize I'm seriously outmatched I'll set the task aside for another time or avoid it entirely.
How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I feel a certain affiliation with the Khajiit as both they and my character share a sly nature and a penchant for thievery. I'm always amused by their wheedling accents and syrupy attempts to convince me to buy their wares. I respect the Orcs' sense of loyalty and honour. I dislike Dunmer and Altmer for their smugness and superiority, but I admire the Bosmer for their deep harmony with nature. I was wary of Argonians at first, but after helping a friendly Argonian fellow by the name of Madesi I have a much more favourable view of them. As for humans, I find it hard to differentiate between their races and treat them as they treat me.
Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?: In my own way if it's easier, quicker or more profitable than the textbook approach.
Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: All hail Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King of Skyrim!
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: Their interests intertwine, but my loyalties lie more with the Dark Brotherhood.
Is marriage more of a business transaction than about affinity for a NPC?: I married Ysolda out of an affinity for her, but the business aspects of our relationship are much appreciated as well.
If you use magic, what do you use it for? Restoration, mostly, to cut back on the amount of Restore Health potions I guzzle.
If you use stealth, what do you use it for? Creeping up on enemies, getting the sneak bonus when I range, tiptoeing past situations I'd rather avoid, pickpocketing NPCs and stealing from their homes, etc.

Approximate Age: 26
Race: Nord (Though Argonians, Khajiit, and Bosmer have a place in my heart as well)
Gender: Male
Aptitude(Stealth, Combat, Magic, or mixed?): Combat, with lesser emphasis on stealth
Top 10 Major Skills: Archery, One Handed, Block, Sneak, Enchanting, Light Armor, Alchemy, Illusion
Criminal History: Stolen nothing (except to clear a misc. quest in Markarth), murdered nobody. I think the only time I've done anything criminal was on accident.
Allegiances: Stormcloaks. Even though I play a Bosmer right now, I believe I should help the Nords kick out the foreigners if they don't want them there; I also believe in self-governance. Plus free worship has been suspended because of the Empire.
Factions: Stormcloaks, Daedra, Companions, I don't know what all the factions are yet so maybe more.
Horseback or on foot?: Foot
Do you spend more time in towns/villages/cities, or adventuring/questing/wandering the wild?: Wandering in the wild, doing quests, and exploring caves and stuff. Cities are pretty much only for getting quests and selling stuff.
Do you organize and/or manage your inventories at homes?: I tried to, but it didn't work out well and I decided it wasn't very important.
Do you keep items that you never plan on using?: Yeah, I'll admit, I'm a Skyrim hoarder haha. I always want to sell the stuff, but then the merchants don't have the money to buy it all so I end up storing it.
Do you pay attention to encumberment on a regular basis?: Not really. I try to offload all that I don't need when I get home after clearing some dungeons.
Priorities(Gold, loot, quests, relationships, etc.)?: Gold and quests pretty much
How do you get what you want from a NPC?: Intimidation or Gold
A lone friendly traveler is encountered in the wild, how do you approach him/her?: I sneak from behind and see if they will be hostile or not. If it's just a hunter or something, I'll leave them be, maybe talk to them just to see if they're unique
The same lone traveler is non-threatening, yet hostile(possibly of another allegiance or faction)?: If they're Thalmor or Imperial, they're dead. They don't have to agree with me, but I hate the Thalmor, and I fight the Legion so it makes sense.
Does apparel/armor aesthetics, practicality, value, or rarity determine use?: Practicality for the most part, if it's a Daedric artifact I'll probably use it, but aesthetics rarely plays a part.
Do you prefer purchasing equipment or finding/looting/stealing/discovering for use?: Finding it, but I like to enchant it myself so preferably unenchanted.
Do you learn more about your quests, NPCs, and faction before undertaking quests?: Not really
Do allegiances, morals and beliefs, or other factors determine who you work for/with and the tasks you perform?: I refuse to work with the Imperials, and I won't work with the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild. Not on my main, "real" character at least.
When you have companions, do you let them do most of the work?: No, in fact they usually rush in like idiots and I have to save them and keep from killing them.
Do you equip them with improved equipment, or let them use what they have?: Improved stuff. Lydia has a Battleaxe I enchanted that paralyzes the enemy most of the time >:)
Do you have them carry most of your burden(ex. loot, weapons, armor, etc.)?: I only make them carry loot that I can't carry because I'm at my limit
Does it bother you when NPCs say bad things about you?: Not really. Peoples opinions of me don't matter, especially in a video game
If any of those NPCs were to travel outside of civilization, what would you do, if anything?: Depends on how mean they were. Probably nothing though, I'd feel bad.
Do you give up on difficult quests? Do you plan better for a new approach? Do you see it through, no matter how difficult?: I never give up, but sometimes I'll procrastinate on it.
Do you interact with NPCs other than for essential needs, wants, or tasks?: Yes

Do you enjoy learning about the land and people of Skyrim and the history of Tamriel?: Yes, I read all the books :D
Does listening to a NPC's story affect any decisions you make?: Yes
Do you think you could be a better leader than any of the guild/faction leaders. How about the Jarls or even a King?: Yeah
Things aren't going your way, do you turn off the game, or do you revert to a previous save to try again?: I'll revert a few times, but if I keep dying I'll just come back some other time and go do a different quest
How do you view the zoomorphic races? Elves? Humans?: I think there's always been this undertone of racism in TES; I like all the races (except for Orcs, something about them is just unnatural and repulsive to me), and I have sympathy for the beast races.
Do you perform tasks in your own way, or to-the-letter?: My own way if I can
Stormcloaks or Imperial Legion?: Stormcloaks
Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood?: Hmmm.....depends. Maybe Dark Brotherhood.
Is marriage more of a business transaction than about affinity for a NPC?: I never marry because I feel like it's dumb in a video game, you can never have that kind of chemistry with an NPC.
If you use magic, what do you use it for?; Invisibility, Healing, and Muffle. So Stealth and Health
If you use stealth, what do you use it for?: To not be seen and kill as many enemies as I can before I have to close for melee combat

Hello, fellow gamers. I am trying to conduct a fairly short questionnaire on how individuals play Skyrim to assist in predicting personality traits. The main focus is the quasi-Freudian theory that people use video games as an outlet to act out - via avatar - their inner desires, and hidden morals and beliefs without fear of social or societal judgement or ostracization.I will also use any demographic information collected to better understand age, racial, and gender differences in play styles, as well as possible educational and economic level differences, if any.
You can feel free to post in this forum or send me a message via inbox.
Your help is appreciated.
