[REQ] reset perks mod

it would be a good idea to make a reset perk mod using a potion (or other consumable)

How about through a quest? That would be more "realistic" (if you can call it that). An encounter with a daedric prince maybe.

Yes, it would be much better...resetting perks by a draedric quest!

I'm throwing my favour behind this.

A limited perk respec option would allow experimentation without ruining your character.

Can't cause too many yelps of cheating, as your trained skill levels remain the same.

In Oblivion you could run scripts from the console, so if Skyrim has the same ability, someone could just make a script with the commands you need to reset.

There is an ugly respec mod on skyrim nexus.

Essentially its a batch file for each skill that sets it to learned for the toon.

Also he has a batch wipe all skills one that clears all the learned skills.

Nothing special, just a brute force method. Something like 250 files in the skyrim folder needed :(

I'm in favor of respecs for at least a couple of reasons:

1) Once you pick a perk, it's permanent. There's no confirm or undo option, which is strange considering so many games (even older TES games) offer this.
2) You can't really determine how useful a perk is going to be until you select it (at which point again it's permanent). Some sound good in theory but aren't so great in practice.

You don't get a confirmation window? I do.

Sorry I meant like some other games have, where you pick everything you think you want, but before you exit you have to confirm that you want to keep the settings. And the way it's set up now, even if you don't exit the menu, you can't undo anything if you change your mind.
