Resident_Within's Themed Character Pageant Entry thread. : V

We have had some brilliant pageants showcasing our characters both male and female being badass or being beautiful. So I was thinking about something a little different. you see our characters are not always being badass. We're not always killing something, being in some war. We're certainly not always standing by the map in Dragonsreach posing for Farengar. What I want to see is simple. I want to see a set of pics from each of you that best describe your character's personality. Who are they under all that armor? No nvdes :tongue: But who are they during their off time? Who do they go home to? Or do they go to an empty house? Do they even have a home? What do they do when there is no fighting to be done? Who are they behind that mask? That's what this is about.

Depending on the comments I may divide this between modded and unmodded (or PC vs console) depending on the interest, if any at all... Here is what I am looking for. I'm looking for pics that best show your character's interests and personality. Show them playing with their children, or relaxing with a significant other. Or perhaps they sit as a shadowy silhouette before a fire pit in a tavern drinking a mug of ale? Some gardening perhaps? Or working a forge. All our character do something that centers and grounds them. That's what I want to see. Its not about how your character looks or what they are wearing.

I'll be rewarding 3 points to the set of pics I feel best describes your character's personality. Each entry will be allowed a minimum of 3 pics and a total of 6. When the poll is created, I want people to vote on their favorite set.

I'll be entering this myself but obviously won't vote for myself or reward myself Resy's 3 points.

And I would like to stress. This is NOT about how your character looks. Your character does not even have to be facing the "camera" really. Great idea. You're definately going to have to split it into 2 threads, modded and unmodded. Us console users can't compete with the PC players.

While I think it's a great idea, I probably won't enter, judging from the lack of interest in my characters (in the other pageants). I can't take more rejection. :sad:

You should enter. Like I said, this is not about how your character looks, or what they are wearing. Its about what they like to do as a pastime.

Well I only mod-lite, meaning I only use the official HD DLC and unofficial patch. Seems adding other stuff would make my PC overheat. Sad since it is super powered and can run anything smoothly, but I got to get some more fans or something in it. So mine will basically look vanilla, with maybe puppet master to get some poses in.

I recall you talking about this idea long ago. Glad to see it happening.

Now I just got to figure out which of my 40 some characters to use...

ha don't lose heart, my Vulg?rr didn't get a single vote in the badass thread but he's still badass even if others can't see it

ha I know I just had to mention that some of our characters breathe "badass", it's who they are with or without armor and war.

This sounds like a screenshot thread made into a pageant...very strange. How will you judge this? Will it be based on who looks best doing mundane things? Beauty and beast are easy to see but to judge who looks best eating and drinking sounds odd imo.

My problem as well... which of my characters do I want to enter this with? I'm torn on Kaileena, Jhed'ahk and Mjolene.

Think of it as a picture says 1000 words. But your getting to enter up to 6 pictures so 6000 words? And who says they need to be eating or drinking. They can be doing anything.
