Resist damage enchanting?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:40 am

Is there no enchantment at all to resist or deflect physical damage as a mage? How can you then as a pure mage (with none-almost no increase to health per level) receive a hit or two? Especially late game?

Is there some other enchantment which would be useful then, fortify health or something?

Run like the wind!

Also, try finding the sign stone 'the Lord'. Don't neglect Alteration spells, Oakflesh and it's bigger brothers are quite nice.

There are enchantments for fortifying your health and your health regen. Aside from that, there are enchantments that boost light armor and enchantments that boost heavy armor. Outside of enchantments, Restoration has spells that absorb damage and increase armor rating while the spell is being cast (they're continuous-cast spells), and one of the other mage skills (Alteration?) Has the "mage" armor spells (Oakenflesh, Stoneflesh, etc).

Hmm, but those 'wards' as i'm sure thats what you are talking about, do essentially take 1 hand to use, which makes your damage input a lot less..

An enchant to resist damage would result in 100% damage reduction i.e. god mode.

Use alteration.
It's the armor for mages.

Wards are used to defend against magic.
Oakflesh/stoneflesh etc. In the alteration tree is like you're wearing armor.
Not as good as light though.
