Resolution and question problem

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:33 pm

Just reinstalled GOTY after not playing for a while. First thing i did was set the resolution in regedit to 1920x1200 instead of 1600x1200,then i ran the game to make sure everything is kosher. Then while browsing the forums i read about the snowflake error for vista/7 users...so i ran the game as admin then ventured up to Solstheim to make sure everything was ok and it was. But i noticed when i ran the game as admin it reverted to 1600x1200 and i went to regedit to change it again and it says its 1920x1200 when its clearly at 1600x1200......any ideas?

I assume that you have read this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/, but you should not alter the resolution in the registry by your self.
Instead I strongly suggest that you head over to the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1117223-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/ and ask your question there. :)

You shouldn't have to run Morrowind as an administrator on Windows Vista/7. As long as its not installed inside the Program Files (or Program Files (x86)) directories. Changing to "run as admin" no doubt changed the registry keys that affect the executable.

You can always use MGE to modify the resolution without use the standard registry edit.
