resolution has disappeared from the option menu preventing s

I have windows 7 fully updated and the GOTY edition. The game prevouisly worked fine, I later installed the dlc's and after that the resolution dissapeared meaning that the game didn't have a set resolution to run on. I tried running it in a window and running it in 640X480 which neither worked. I have reinstalled and I still have the same problem.

Have you tried editing the resolution using the file FalloutPrefs.ini located in C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\Fallout3

the '...' should be your user name :P

I believe you should search for these lines:
iSize W=1920
iSize H=1080

of course you should edit these values to something appropriate for your monitor and gpu.

If you can't find these lines try manually adding them under the '[Display]' section.

Hope this helps :)

Have you tried the checkbox 'Show All Resolutions' ?

I see you did not check that check box in the screenshot. I'm guessing you already tried it tough :P

Also:

- if you reinstal the game without reinstalling the dlc is it possible to select a resolution?
- have you tried updating the game?
- have you updated all your drivers (specifically video drivers)?

Other than that I really wouldn't know what could be the problem :S
