Resolutions not detected

I'm running an nvidia 9700gtx at 4K resolution, but Fallout 4 refuses to detect that or run anything higher than 1920x1080. What can I do to force the game into the correct resolution?

Did you find a solution to this?

Look at C:\Users\\Documents\my games\Fallout4 (that's the path for my Win10 installation anyway). There's a file called Fallout4Prefs.ini. Open it with notepad or something and look for the lines starting with "iSize W" and "iSize H". Set them to your resolution. So, I run a 3440 x 1440 screen. My settings are:

iSize W=3440
iSize H=1440

That gives me full 21:9 widescreen.

When I first launched the game I set it to 1920x1080 I think and turned OFF windowed mode. Then I made the changes to the INI.

Looks awesome in 21:9 by the way.
