Exactly, this is more aimed at people who are experiencing flaws with their game such that it simply isn't worth it to own at the moment. Wait until they fix everything in the GOTY version. (If they don't, then never buy it.)

Wait, Steam gives you 14 days for a refund. That would be the end of the day Monday, not today.

And I think the original poster meant November 19th, thinking that was the last day for a refund.

Lol, I'm planning tomorrow, if there's still no response from Bethesda.

I don't think I can remember a new release, where there were no patches, responses, or communication at all, almost 10 days after release.

The least response I've ever seen was, we're working on the issues, please be patient. Bethesda doesn't even have the respect or common courtesy to do that, the bare minimum.

Exactly, and that kind of attitude tells me "We're not going to say anything until it's too late to impact our sales." Well **** that, no support, no sale.

See, and I know i'll get a lot of flak for this, this is why I stick to consoles. One, I do not have to go out and buy and brand new PC every time a game comes out that exceeds its installation requirement, and two even offline I can run it..... eventhough I would love a PC copy just to mod it like I did with fallout 3....

anyways, OP, coming from someone who paid the $120 for a pip-boy edition of the game, I will not ask for any refund. I know about 50 other people who have the game as well, and all are happy. I've only come across a few "game breaking" buts and theres nothing a good save and reload can't fix. if you must wait for a patch, usually the big "game breaking" bugs are fixed quickly. For the big ones you have to wait, but what game doesn't launch with some bugs? I've never played a game that worked perfectly on release day and I've been a gamer for almost 29 years now. I remember back in the day, with cartridge systems that they still have bugs as well.

If you are that dissatisfied with the game, yes, by all means return it for a refund. Plus, by waiting, you are still not waiting for a guarantee fix for everything. Seriously, look at all the bugs still present in Fallout 3 even after all the patches and stuff. Hell, the Pit dlc was an epic fail when it was first released.... and I downloaded it seconds after its release..... oh the humanity. You cannot fault BGS for bugs. Seriously, its a vastly larger game than its predecessor. there will be bugs. Even the almightly Todd Howard still said there are things he is still coming across that he didn't know about and I'm sure bugs are one of them.

So in conclusion, yes get a refund, but us Day Firsties will be here til the end and I will enjoy rocking around the wasteland, with a pip-boy on my arm listening to the same old tracks until Fallout 5 comes out or Fallout: BoS 2 or whatever.

You can always run the game in Steam offline mode. No internet connection at all required. Though I do so dislike the need for Steam in the first place.

Actually, I have personally had a Bethesda admin respond to bug(s) issues in the Fallout 3 forum days. So, it's possible, just not immediate nor regarding any old matter.

After 100 hours I am having a ton of fun.

Don't like the game? Fine. Your choice, OP.

I don't know if videoranger has the same problem as me, but there are PC gamers who have this problem or a bug with Steam that VALVe has never fixed. When I try to run Steam in offline mode I always have to go online to do it.

Some times it works and some times it just switches me to online mode for auto updates automatically. Gabe Newell said like in 2012 or something that they fixed this "bug", but I still have it. The PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in my Steam library of my account is one of them.

VALVe has lost me as a customer permanently as of 2012 or if you want to say 100% lost me as a customer as of April 2015.

That is misleading for one reason. Most of the sales for TW3 are likely on GOG, which CDPR owns. After six weeks TW3 sold over a million copies solely on GOG. As Fallout 4 is only on Steam and not any other digital download services, it's very like TW3 has sold more copies on PC. It is consoles where Fallout 4, without a doubt, is dominating. That is merely because console gamers likely never played TW2 and definitely did not play TW1, so it's difficult for latecomers to get involved with a franchise at the end of its trilogy.

I'm sorry but I feel you guys are missing the point:

The point is this thread is for people who literally CANNOT play the game right now. Some people aren't experiencing many bugs but some can't even get it to start. Others, like me who are left handed, can't play the game comfortably because they can't fix the keybindings.

This has nothing to do with our subjective feelings about the quality of the game. That's not what this thread is about.

It's a public service announcement to those for whom the game literally does not function.

The PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold 1 million copies on gog.com. More than 1+ million copies are sold now as the last announcement was what one month ago? Yeah I think it could very well be 1,500,000 copies sold on gog.com.

The PC version of The WItcher 3: Wild Hunt Steam version sold a total of 900,000+ copies.

But there has been patches? Consoles got a day one and PC has gotten more than that. Look at the bug section and search for user GStaff if you don't think they're doing anything. Complaining in the general forum won't do a thing. Like complaining about the DMV while in line for meat at the deli.

That wasn't obvious from his generic "FO4 sux!" rant, especially when he threw in the anti-DLC "This is just another attempt to piecemeal a game out to you, for $100+" line. Especially odd given how decent Bethesda's DLC have been the last couple games.

It's nothing personal, BGS just doesn't communicate. At all. Ever. Patches drop without them speaking of them before or after.

Though they did have beta patches for Skyrim on PC, had a separate forum for the beta patch feedback too. Guess they've clammed up again

Most people aren't so petty about $60 on console. A game is a game. None are perfect.

Don't know about you "Master Racers" though, you might be that petty.

You "literally cannot play the game right now"? What?

Is it because of your rig, because you can't put up some part of the mechanics or is it because you're dissatisfied with the game as it doesn't live up to your expectations?

If its the first, then, by all means, get your refund. If it's either of the other two, get over it. It will get fixed eventually, probably not to your satisfaction, but it will get fixed.

It's funny that 99.99% of the purchasers and players aren't having any issues at all. Sure there are complaints, but they're still playing.

If you bought the game and it doesn't play on your rig, that's your fault. They were pretty clear, pre-release, as to exactly what the requirements would be.

Now that I think about it, if you bought the game and didn't check the specs to see if you could run it on your rig, then maybe you don't deserve a refund.
