Rest In Peace, M'aiq...

Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:45 pm

Reqiescat in pace :D

"Nulla e reale; tutto e lecito. Requiescat in pace. (Nothing is true; everything is permitted. Rest in peace.)" Aaaaah, Ezio was talking about M'aiq!

Ahem. yes. Hope he's in the game though. If not, i expect a legion of RIP-forum threads and sig's.

M'aiq lives outside of time. He doesn't die.

Best post ever! :celebration:

M'aiq is my hero and personal mentor; if he isn't in Skyrim who will convey such wisdom as "There is no mystery. M'Aiq knows all. The dwarves were here, and now they are not! They were very short folks... Or perhaps they were not. It all depends on your perspective. I'm sure they thought they were about the right height."

Actually, I'd rather see twin M'aiq's. Make a puzzle out of it, one is the liar and one tells the truth but nobody knows which~

I would love to see something like this! Funny!

A special random instrument called Maiq the lyre.

Can we play the lyre? Because that would be awesome! :P

It's M'aiq.

1. He'll be in the game.
2. There's no need for any sort of reasonable explanation for how he came to be there.

It's M'aiq.

This pretty much sums it up. He simply MUST be in Skyrim. No explanation necessary. We can make up our own when we meet him. :)

Yep, I bet he is there. Complaining about the cold no doubt.

M'aiq could have become a lich but yeah I think he's gone. Someone else will have to replace him, I vote an essential Male Imperial with Todd Howard's facial features.

Well he did know the secret to becoming one, "You wish to become a lich? It's very easy, my friend. Simply find the heart of a lich, combine it with the tongue of a dragon, and cook it with the flesh of a well-ridden horse. This combination is certain to make you undead." And unlike the rest of us he rode a dragon and broke him because he was very fragile, so one ingredient down.

M'aiq is an Easter Egg, therefore not subject to the normal laws of aging or physics.
He'll still be around. :)

but if theyre twin decendants from m'aiq, then they would both be liars, so if either one said they told the truth, theyd be lying, and if they said they were lying, they would in turn be telling the truth which is out of character xD
Kinda makes my brain hurt...

I'm alright with him being gone. If he is making a return, I hope they resurrect his "former self" from Morrowind. He was much more entertaining there, and his name actually fit. I can guess Bethesda's opinions on a lot of hot topic things-- I don't need "M'aiq the Opinionated" telling me in-game.

He's not dead. He found that island he kept talking about and never left.

This is pure speculation, I for one refuse to believe that he's gone.

If he is dead, Beth should make a tome that he enchanted with his wisdom and personality and it should talk to you on your adventures so you don't feel so alone all the time

Someone came up with an appropriate solution a while back...

"You should be careful around dragons. They are very fragile. M'aiq should know; he broke one and ended up here!"

This.

He also forsaw the next game: ''M'aiq has seen a dragon, maybe you will see a dragon'' I'm paraphrasing, but it was along those lines...

and this, from the Ghostly King

I assume Maiq is pretty much the same as Cid is for Final Fantasy, you know but in a good game.

He is in Inception right now. His dream within a dream within a dream was to make a game... Skyrim.

BWWWUUUUMMMM BUMMMMMMMM BWUUUUMMMMM BUUMMMMM...

But back on topic, he is the living receiver. Without him, the threads of time and space will not bind, so he must be alive.

I'd be funny to find random easter eggs with that kajiit leaving some witty comments on walls or scrolls.
Doesn't even have to mention wether he lives or not.

Im thinking he is dead. Perhaps he left a scroll with a several insights though

This would be ideal. Perhaps "instructions" on how to resurrect him, among other things? XD

just get the head of a spear, a saddle for a dragon, and the tentacle of a bear, mix it all together in a skooma pipe and cast levitate on it. Have a friend in co-op mode bash on M'aiq's body with Dual-Shields at the same time. Then M'aiq will be alive
