Rest In Peace, M'aiq...

M'aiq should still be alive... think of all the cool stories he must have.

I'd be fine with finding his life's work in a book though. It should be found near a Khajiit Skeleton

M'aiq is the 18th Daedric Prince of False lies

and besides his very existence is a lie, M'aiq the liar? he lies about being a liar so he's telling the truth which is a lie but a truth in its self but thats also a lie about the truth that is a lie that is a truth that is a lie that is a truth that is a lie that is a truth that is a lie divided by 0.

M'aiq is the Kajiit incarnation of Sheogorath. He cannot die, except briefly during the grey marches when he becomes Jyggalag and M'aiq becomes Ardun-ris, the truth speaking argonian.

Someone came up with an appropriate solution a while back...

"You should be careful around dragons. They are very fragile. M'aiq should know; he broke one and ended up here!"

He also forsaw the next game: ''M'aiq has seen a dragon, maybe you will see a dragon'' I'm paraphrasing, but it was along those lines...

Wouldn't it just be a super geeky Easter Egg to find his journal clutched in the hand of a skeleton in some deep, dank cave?

And then run into one of his descendants upon exiting the cave..... :icecream:

False Lie - I Like it - If a Lie is false information - it would mean that a false lie is the truth

Why are people so convinced that easter eggs must follow traditional logic? If M'aiq was supposed to mesh naturally with the game world, then he probably wouldn't even exist. He's not a character, he's an easter egg.

I have two theories om M'aiq:

Theory 1: He's alive.
M'aiq was bitten by a vampire not long after the Oblivion Crisis ended. After about 190 years of living as a vampire, he got his vampirism cured because he wanted to walk in sunlight again without being hurt.

Theory 2: He's dead.
M'aiq was annoying too many people with his strange statements. People got fed up with him, so Rolf the Uber and Im-Leet dragged him to Dive Rock and thew him off. M'aiq landed next to the body of a blond Bosmer that used to hang out in the Arena District of the Imperial City. M'aiq's last thought was "The ground is approaching rather fa-" *splats at the base of Dive Rock*

M'aiq lives outside of time. He doesn't die.

Damn right. He was in Morrowind. He was in Oblivion. He has to be in Skyrim. But he should be harder to find. Maybe doing some kind of weird activity like he did in the last two installments XD

M'aiq is a fourth wall breaking character. an easter egg. This way, he is not subject to any form of rule. He could be alive or not, that depends on developers wishes.

A skeleton in a cave, grasping the coded journal of M'aiq the liar. If returned to his relative who you inadvertently meet at an inn, for the rest of the game he will pass on some new bit of wisdom found in his ancestors tome...

Hmm, I think I like this idea. But I think M'aiq should be in, because he is timeless. Maybe Akatosh, being angry about M'aiq not giving a hoot about time, cursed him with immortality? That would be cool, also. But if he is dead, then the above quote should somehow be implemented.

M′aiq is dead! Long live M′aiq!

He will propably be there, in some way. If not him then someone like him, or someone not like him. Anyways! :P

Wow, you sound like a madman. Come to the Isles. ;)

Maybe M'aiq is just a figment of our characters imagination... I mean... nobody else in the game really has acknowledged him or mentioned his existence, he runs super-fast, he was chillin' by himself in a weird spot in MW...

Good idea! we're all a bunch of schizophrenic heroes, hallucinating about a strange Khajiit who runs fast and talks in riddles. I like it. This is yet another good reason for M'aiq to appear in Skyrim for us to enjoy. :D

That would actually be a good easter egg quest!
