Rest In Peace, M'aiq...

Was female. Princes don't have genders

Oh, I see. You're just playing with technicalities.... Yes, then in that case, was female.

I dont know, but I hope he has a descendant named, instead of M'aiq the Liar, M'iaq the Truthful.

M'aiq is a fourth wall breaking character. an easter egg. This way, he is not subject to any form of rule. He could be alive or not, that depends on developers wishes.

This is what I am thinking.

Yeah, but there's one problem with that--M'aiq wasn't the Champion of the Greymarch... I won't tell you who it was, but I will hint that my version of the new Sheogorath is female.

(However, if I wasn't devoted to the Madgod, followed by Jyggalag, I would definitely follow M'aiq--except that he runs so fast, I struggle to keep up with him!

I know this. But I'm alluding to a similar story to Thirsk in Bloodmoon. Nerervarine assumed control, then gave control to someone else and moved on.

If he's a descendant of M'aiq then any supposed truthfulness would be a lie. In fact, M'iaq the Truthful would just be a lie altogether, he is just M'aiq, crafting another lie.

Actually, I'd rather see twin M'aiq's. Make a puzzle out of it, one is the liar and one tells the truth but nobody knows which~

Listen you fools! For I will tell all of the where-with-whats about M'aiq and his unorthodox methods of working in the land of Tamriel!

Hear-ye, hear-ye! Nay, M'aiq the liar did not perish within the confines of Cyrodiil... Rather, he migrated north to aid in the Skooma trafficking in the lands of the Great Frost! In doing so, he accepted an enchanted token from a local addict which has allowed him to slow down his aging two fold! Therefore, watch for him while protecting one of many carriages!

*The Dovahkein, pantng, reaches the top of the 7000 steps up the Mountain where the Greybeards reside.*

*He is greeted with a Khajit wearing a purple robe.*

M'aiq: "M'aiq has heard of adventures who try to ride dragons. M'aiq has not heard of them again."

Dovahkein: "Whe-where are the Greybeards?"

M'aiq: "Grey-Beards? M'aiq has seen beards, but no greys. M'aiq wishes he has a beard."

Dovahkein: "I just climbed 7000 steps for nothing, didnt I..."

Well an opinion can't be a lie.

In any case, he's called a liar because he was a liar in Morrowind right? In Oblivion he had pseudo-philosophical insights into requests fans made.

I think he could easily be M`aiq the Fifth or something if he's included. If he's not there I hope there's a M`aiq-like character.

what insights? in OB whenever i tried to talk to him his only option was rumors and he would say .miaq knows much and tells few

I don't mind if M'aiq himself is in but I think it would be more creative and enjoyable to collect notes or books across Skyrim called "Scribblings of a Savant" or "Liar's Diary" or something of the sort.

Finding one in the Arcane Library would be funny IMO as it would make me wonder how M'aiq got there or why mages would want such a thing.

Nods to other characters are also a must.

It's M'aiq.

1. He'll be in the game.
2. There's no need for any sort of reasonable explanation for how he came to be there.

It's M'aiq.

With the exception of the daedra, M'aiq is probably the only Oblivion/Morrowind character who won't need a good explanation for why he's still there after 200 years... as people before me have said - it's M'aiq. He canb just be there.

Just as he has in the past, M'aiq should return to Skyrim with developer responses to content that didnt make the cut. Im sure that we will see him commenting on levitation, spears, spell casting, mounted combat, etc.....should they not make it into Skyrim.

Amidst all the funny remarks and silly responses, Id like to see him contain one or two nuggets of rare, valuable info as well. It was cool how in Morrowind he was so full of ridiculous stories, yet gave the location (almost) of the mudcrab merchant. However unkowing players may mistake it as another one of his tall tales.

He usually comments on things that players have talked about surrounding the game (fishy sticks, nudity mod, maybe even a hint at an upcoming game? ("M'aiq has seen dragons")), so if he appears, maybe he'll comment on why he isn't dead
