Your character can slay a dragon, but not take a break in the snow? That's to real/unreal.

ha ha ha, ok, good points. Was just thinking it may be cool to "feel" the weather alil. Like, They are putting in a huge effort into the weather systems etc, and I reckon there needs to be some minor interaction between these systems and our game play.

How else will I get that tasty blood into my stomach, then? :P

Your character can kill animals which are a proper part of the internal lore of the universe, but can also be harmed by staying for long periods of time in freezing temperatures, just like they are harmed by frost spells? That's to real/unreal.

Now that's the way to go! And where did you acquire your warm fur attires. So let's stretch alittle and suggest that maybe all those furs collected can actually be used to create simply additions to your clothing to keep your bones from shaking.

You probably played on a console then. On PC it crashed to desktop a lot, close enough to freezing

That I did. I was contemplating someday getting it on a PC... ten years from now... when I have a gaming PC that's actually up-to-date... for a 2006 PC, anyway. :P

Anyway, I was considering it, but on a completely off-topic post, is it that bad that I shouldn't?

Yeah, better kill that dragon quickly or you'll freeze to death. ;)

(I do get your point.)

If you only have a bedroll then you definitely should. If there are any camps in a snowy area then the campfires are likely lit.

A dragon is a very large animal. Anything that breathes can be killed. If you know anything about wilderness survival, outside of your dwelling in the city/suburbia, then you would know the last thing you would want to do is get wet. You'll die very fast from hypothermia. I understand what you are trying to say, but there is not logic in it whatsoever.

I would really like to see weather and other environmental effects in Skyrim. If I can drown in water or die from falling from high up, then I should be susceptible to weather and other environmental effects.

Yes, that's life. This is a game that lets you stand in one place forever, not getting older.

As I said, I get the point. Some of you want imaginary realism.

Well actually since I've been playing without mods lately it's been fine, but if you load it full of mods (which is actually pretty fun) it can crash frequently. There are also some mods that help it run better, and help prevent it from crashing.

Now that would be an amusing sight. But man, painful as hell. xD

I don't think there will be much of a difference if you sleep out in the cold mountains or in a cozy, warm inn. Then again, who would even sleep outside if it's too cold, unless they were wearing several layers of fur or such.

And that reminds me, it always bugged me how in the trailers the Dovahkiin doesn't even have sleeves. I could imagine it's at least -10°C.

Skyrim is a frigid and unforgiving environment. Staying up in a blizzard all night should be fatal if your not a Nord or perhaps a Khajiit and or a capable mage or are properly equipped.

Now that's what I'm talking about :-) An addition like this would make all the difference for me! Don't get me wrong, I'll play the hell outa the game anyway (and love it) but you know, it's the little things right?!

I don't see Bethesda putting that into the game, but maybe Duke Patrick will carry over his Hypothermia mod.
