Restart again. In which way?

I want come to Vvardenfell again, and I DLed the famous Morrowind Overhaul, that seemed a great super-mod that save time and problems with only 1 install,

but I realized that I never understand a damn in the MO install.

Then, I found my dear old BtB page, and will work to install my favd mods, one after the other, as I did everytime.

Aye, never be great and luxurious like MO, but seem that MO install is over my forces and intelligence, then I come back to, the Morrowind that I knew and liked: after all my choose of mods are did following the translator's motto "translate, not betray", then leave the original feeling, never add pink elephants, Hansel and Gretel homes, or super-merchants with tons of dracmes and so on,but only things that combine with the mistic atmosphere of Vvardenfell.

e.g. the only concession that I do to the grandeur is a big nice castle mod near Suran, so beautiful, rich, perfect for my Sorcerer, and fitting perfectly with the whole area, Crehange Castle: other homes are a nice Amaya house near the lake, and others are part of a mod that allow me to acquire little normal houses or shacks with a contract signed in an imperial office at Vivec: no one of these places has nothing strange in respect to the surrounding areas.

A shame, I was so curious of this big MO super mod,but often the old ways are the better ways, then, take my Testool, Wrye Mash, and start!

Morrowind, I come back (L)

Yeah im not a fan of the overhaul mod because it adds too many things that completely destroy the original feel of the game and a whole bunch of random graphics that dont fit into place with each other.

I find in my experience with mods, generally a mod that's a collaboration or collection of mods doesnt have any consistency with itself or the game world.

The alternative of manually downloading every one of the mods you want specifically, even though takes awhile, is in my opinion the much better route.

Have fun getting back into morrowind. One can never stay away from the mistress for too long before vvardenfell calls again.

@TheSentinel:

Usually I don't use Morrowind Enancer also,I like the old old way, but when I have finished my Morrowind become special and nothing is changed about the original flavour...translate, not betray, it's a must for me.

My dream was to make a unic mod with all my ads and have a my "light overhaul" avoiding to work at mods all the times, but I'm not so expert to do this.

Basically Iuse BtB page mods, and adjoin some house and a minium of realism lrules like Wakim.

I've been using less and less mods each time I restarted with a new character...Now I only have a face and body replacer. I've never found a texture replacer that felt true to the original gameworld in every areas so I kinda gave up. As for mods that add content...the only one I really enjoyed and that fit perfectly in the game world was Tamriel Rebuilt.

My adjoins at the world are mainly the homes vendor, that give an imperial office in Vivec and some houses from shacks to modest, good for everyone,, CrehangeCastle with towers, that I consider incredibly well placed in the Suran area, a lake Amaya 2 stores house,, some home in the main important cities (Balmora, AldRuhn, etc) but first of all for me is really important not touch the original atmosphere and feeling: every place must be 'natural' as was everytime there.

The only problem I have really is for adjoining NPC's, mods that adjoin people going around (like traveling merchants, people, sages, etc) has also strange figures like crusaders or armored knights and so on,that fit bad in the usual Morrowind way of life. A shame, really:I hope that some modder have realized some new mod for NPC's without these odd figures, after all I not play from long time, maybe modders has worked....

Check out this mod,http://mw.modhistory.com/download-90-13583 It's an NPC addon that uses only vanilla faces and vanilla armour, generates random lore friendly names and all that. It's kinda like that morrowind comes alive, but it doesnt give you the out of place NPCs that morrowind comes alive has. I like it because it stays true to vanilla, while adds more random npcs that actually fit with the world.

I like when you see a mage teleport into town using a mark and recall spell, makes you realize you're not the only one who can do that.

hee hee, seen! I had once a time, and liked a lot, but at this time semeed in need of some adjustment. Now seem mostly perfectionated, very well.

I have sweet remembering of this mod, was very nice and added a gentle touch on the various humanity there.

I don't remember, merchants sells and buy regularly, yes? or they are only fictional figures?

If you are referring to the pack guar merchants that spawn on a semi-regular basis with the starfire mod, yes, they are fully capable of buying and selling.
