Restart Syndrome

Post » Mon Nov 10, 2014 1:25 am

Really starting to get on my nerves now as its preventing me from enjoying this game, I just cant seem to settle on any sort of play style, weapon choice, skill set or the cosmetic aspects of my character and playing a jack of all trades just feels unrewarding. Does anyone else do this or managed to find a personal resolution they wouldn't mind sharing?

I have it at the start - I normally try to play as myself in the Fallout world, so restart a few times until I settle on SPECIAL, tag skills etc. But restarting prevents your character developing and changing as a reaction to what they encounter. It depends on if you playing as a specific role, but my advice is just to run with it and see what happens.

I had this problem until I finally found a playstyle/faction choice which suited me throughout the playthrough.

That happens to be Energy Weapons/Mr. House.

I love restarting my characters all the time.

Generally speaking for me I try to play as the character and do things what the character does. Quite often this is done at character selection screen deciding on the looks, the six, the name and also by what he/she answers when being asked questions from the Doc.

I never build a character that is uber on all skills and weapons. I just pick things that are inline with the character. As for level ups I only pick skills to level up if the character used that skill during level up.
