Restarting as a Cat

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 9:08 pm

I'd love to re-start the game as a cat.

However, the bit at the begining is really boring and I don't think I can be ar$sed to do all that again.

Why can't you skip it once you've played the game once?

I can't spend an hour doing all that no.

Damn you Skyrim!

There's a mod for skipping that part. Or you can do it once more, and save just prior to creating your character. And load that as a template each new character.

With the time spent in this thread, you could have had it over with by now.

My game saved just after exiting the cart, so i can launch and start a new toon from there... aside from the dragon and head choppyness it only takes like 8 mins to run through the town and dungeon to the other side... IMO

Doesn't the game make an automatic save-game just before character creation? But I suspect the OP wants to skip to exiting the cave towards Riverwood, of which I know nothing, especially on 360. Sorry.

Oh man, listening to those freaks bark on about goodness kows what as you come down the hill.

It's not just that bit though, its the dragon attack and the teaching you to open a barrel and that guy nagging you to 'put on some armour' 50 times before you can even locate the chest with it in.

I just wanna see in the dark!

actually, I have a auto save spot right at the point where the guard says to you that you are not on the list.....I play on the 360. I have to make sure that I don't accidently delete it. :cryvaultboy:

Ah the old games where just before leaving they'd ask if you liked your character. Your like SAVE then leave. From then on, NO I DONT and change everything. Where did that go? O.o

I was kinda bummed out when I saw how helmets and such appear on a Khajiit/Argonian. Not to mention clipping issues so I went for a Redguard. Enjoy it.

An hour huh?

Takes about 5-10 minutes max.

which is why i dont wear a helmet.
could care less about the armor rating increase from certain perks.
the daedric armor also looks stupid on a khajit.

Well my Khajiit was a battlemage, wearing light armour and investing into Magicka solely with the Blessing of Arkay to help me out. Needless to say, I need every armour perk I can get on Expert difficulty. My Light Armoured Redguard with 2H + Restoration fares better and makes it exciting.

But my next definite playthrough will be definite a Mage Khajiit.

(PC)

I pretty much only play Lizard or Kajiit, so I saved two files. One: A Kajiit that just finished the Helgan/Tutorial area. The other: An Argonian that just finished the Helgan/Tutorial area. Now I never have to go through the entire starter area again, unless I decide to make a new race or look.

I like how some people are getting mad about him calling khajiits "cats."

"This is a totally original race, there's no similarities whatsoever!"

The Imperial female says something like "The cat's next"...just before your "execution".

I just started a Khajiit last night, and I enjoyed the ride in the cart and paid closer attention to all of the dialog.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised that Khajiit's can wear boots this time around.
Now to go steal something.
