restoration VS alchemy VS destruction

hey everybody, fisher here :hubbahubba:

so i think this is a very interesting question, because ive been thinking on this for a while,

health is more important than anything in the game, and you need a way to restore it , and quikley otherewise you will die ( i hardly think this is a spolier, you would have to be REALLY thick to not be able to work out why you keep on dieing....)

but which one, in all honesty do you use more than the others, and why?

ill give a brief overview on the three ways, correct me or make your own views if you like , and i will be interested on the poll!

alchemy:

can be very exspencive if you buy custom potions, hand-made potions are effective, but slow and sometimes not up to sctrach without good equipment,
ingridiants are very flexable, overall i use alchemy more than the other two.

restoration:

exspencive, hard-to-train skill and healign spells cost a lot of magika, however at higher levels exstremly efffective healing , + dont have to lug around items!
recently i have been developing my skills in this art, and have had varying results, in a pinch sometimes you need a good potion

destruction:

a more uncommon way to heal, by absoribng an enimies health, however crudley you do however heal yourself, destruction is also a very hard-to-train skill, and its a slow and difficult slope all the way,
however there is the obvious advantage of weaking your enemy whilst strengthing yourself,
i havent ever really looked into this branch of healing, and i may well try

so, please tell me your own results! tell me of other ways of healign if i have missed any! vote on the poll!

I use restoration more. I rarely use destruction spells to get my health back, but I do use it for causing damage and is generally more fun. Alchemy I use a lot too. It's a pretty close call, to be honest.

Absorbing health is a restoration spell not destruction.
And it depends on the character I'm playing.
Some of my characters don't use any magic so for them it's obviously alchemy.
My currant character uses both restoration and alchemy but mostly restoration.
Another way to restore health would be with the Lord birthsign, not quite restoration but similar.

Well I can't really comment or vote on this. I don't choose, my character does. So one time it might be destruction, another, alchemy. I can tell you one thing though, I've never, ever bought a potion!

I voted restoration. Buffy is a mystic archer and her primary school of magic is illusion. Restoration is her secondary.

It is tough for us to choose schools because, for roleplay purposes, Buffy's skill within schools varies greatly. A few examples:

-Destruction. She is stunningly good with drain speed and weakness to poison, but can barely kill a mudcrab with fire, ice or lightning.
-Restoration. She is such a good healer that she can even diagnose and sense the spirit of her patient, but can only heal by laying on of hands (touch only, no ranged healing spells).
-Alchemy. She makes amazing poisons but is not particularly skilled with potions as she tends to favor spells for beneficial effects.

Back to the topic however, when her bow can't do the job and she has to deliver direct damage via magic (like fighting underwater), she uses the restoration effect of absorb health on touch (combined with paralize of course to make it lots safer).
