Restoration xp

Title ses it all how is the experiance for restoration magic calculated considering you are just using healing spells is the amount of health you heal or what?

yes there is a perk to also when you heal it will fill up stamina, so when you get that perk that also helps level it

I think you have to be "in combat" to gain experience for heals. Healing up afterward doesn't seem to help.

Yes I think you have to be in combat. Just like when you conjure armour, you only get exepriance if it's in combat and not out of combat. No proof of this, but just from what I read and then it makes sense as I am playing.
