Can someone tell me how to restore Oblivion to default? Please and thank you.

Restore exactly what to default? INI? Game setttings?

If it's INI changes that you need to correct then delete the Oblivion.ini (not Oblivion_default). When the game is launched it will create a new version.

If it's launch screen options, there is a "reset" option in the lower left of the screen.

In game options also have a "default" which will reset any changes made.

Try deleting the .ini file in your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder....it is the configuration file named Oblivion. Delete it, then refire up the game so a new one gets generated...see if there are any improvements then.
