This is going to sound really dumb but due to my completionist personality, I tried to load from a previous save in order to do the quest of someone I had a contract to kill. Before I realized the save I restored to was too far back, all the other saves after it were gone, resulting in at least ten hours of work on my house being thrown in the trash. Is there any way to restore to my future save using commands or game files?

You mention commands so I suppose you are on PC? If your PC is under Windows 7, you can still try to restore your lost saves by using the "previous versions" feature of your saves folder.
