Hopefully this comes across as simple enough and people want to join. This is NOT like the beauty pageants or badass pageants. In fact your character being in the picture is entirely optional. This is sort of like my themed pageant in regards to scenic locations you really enjoyed exploring with your characters and as I recall we got some great pics showcased in there.
So the rules.
- There are 5 locations/scenes to scavenge for. You are to pick 3 from that 5 and enter 1 pic from each of your choices. If your doing the math that means you should be entering only 3 pictures, 1 from each of your choices.
- Characters are optional. In fact you can use a different character for each pic if you like. Or don't show your character at all.
- Voting (hopefully) will be based upon uniqueness and creativity with your 3 choices. Did you go for the obvious or did you put some time, effort and work into it. This is how I want everyone to judge all our pictures so please keep this in mind. So the more creative you are, the better.
- If there is interest, I will separate the console submissions from the PC submissions. By interest I mean 1 person on the console asking for it. If no console players ask then I will assume everyone is going to get tossed into the same mix. Just please no complaining if you feel your losing because of what you might find yourself up against. Just keep in mind that since I am looking for the most creative pictures possible, the PC players DO have a pretty distinct advantage.
- You DO NOT need to rush out and take these pictures. Some of these may require a little searching to find. That's the point. I am going to give you all 1 week to get these pics. I hope/believe that should be enough time. Starting on Saturday June 7th and ending Sunday June 8th I would like to have all the pictures submitted. If you have the pictures sooner and feel you can't post them up that weekend feel free to PM me but keep in mind I am entering the contest as well.
- Please post up and inform me that you plan on entering the pageant and I will reserve a place for you.
- Something new I want to try... Hopefully this works. I'd like you to keep your three entries to yourself. I will announce when I want them submitted and then have you all put them in this thread. My reasons for this are simple... Its a scavenger hunt. If you show your pictures now others still searching will know where to look and maybe get some ideas of their own. We can't have that now can we?
- You are free to ask for help or discuss locations and what ever you wish in this thread. Just do not submit your pictures until next weekend of June 7-8th.
The Locations
- A mammoth trapped by ice.
- A fairy Circle.
- The Lady of the Lake (skeleton hand with a sword for you non historians)
- A shrine/Alter (No standing stones)
- A remote post sticking out of the ground with a tattered flag attached.
The locations/scenes I have chosen are more then likely NOT marked on your map. You may have already come across things like this in your travels. Your allowed to use the internet if you need help finding some of these. Or you can ask in this thread.
Now your probably asking what the reward is. Well... I'm not going to mail you a trophy. But the winner will be featured in my sig for a month. Well if I have forgotten something I will surely post in here. But I think this is it. If you got questions. Please ask.
Have fun and I look forward to seeing what you guys have come up with when you submit these. Again don't forget. Post in here that your entering and I'll update this post with your names. Just don't submit the pics until next weekend. Or earlier to me in a PM if you got em ready and feel you will not be around next weekend/plan to forget.
