I am trying to install Skyrim Retail Disc Version. It gets to 1 second left in the install, freezes, then starts downloading 11.1GB. How can I fix this or is there a solution? Thoughts appreciated

It is the method to force the system to use the local drive to install from. Not sure of the age of your retail copy, but early versions will still want to download patches. And, if the Hi Res Texture Pack from Bethesda was chosen from Steam that is a 4GB download by itself.

I just installed game, now it is not showing in Library. When I click it, it wants to download about 13 GB. I did this before, but it always said a file about 700kb had to be verified. Tried over and over...
