I was the first person to even post about it... Why are you wanting to close my thread? I discovered this by pure happenstance.

You're getting it confused.

Your thread has been merged with another, duplicate thread. That message was in the dupe thread pointing out your original thread, and asking them to close the dupe, not yours.

He's supporting you not attacking you.

Doesn't seem genuine to me. The levels seem pretty much identical to the SP versions, whereas in-game they're usually very different and often at different times of day. Also where are the enemies? Anyone with Photoshop and nothing better to do can superimpose the HUD on some SP screenshots, but it'd be a bigger job to convincingly put Nanosuited enemies in too.

May be real, but I don't think so.
Thats not faked... i can confirm this pack.

Well with this being leaked like the PC version of Crysis 2... Crytek should really pull a DNF with this map pack and keep it hidden for a while. Perhaps make it the last mappack released. After the modding community makes a plethora of maps.

I'd rather see community made mappacks as a opposed to the other. :P
Which will be do-able. Just needs to be organized in a way in which we can do it. Hell that's a better option. Set a decent price make customers feel relieved to enjoy DLC.
Which gives Crytek more time focus on other things. Hopefully this will be put into consideration. I know after all the posts made from time to time in the 360 forum where people seem to be "tunnel-visioned" in one stupid little path when it comes to consoles... There is a game that has the opportunity to show what can be done. What boundaries can be pushed. What can be done, with enough will power to do it.

So when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade right?

"DLC" on the disc! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

I love EA`s policy of restricting content on the disc to try and prevent people from buying games used or just plain ripping them off the internet. BC2 had 60% of the multiplayer content restricted for nearly a year after release.

Pretty sure if I buy something I should have full access to everything that comes with it.

This has made my day. :D
Be Free... Be Creative... Be the Developer

An open letter to the Crytek Modding Community.

Hello to all of you.

Here at Crytek we value our community, and we love what you do with our engine. In recent times our focus has been heavily on the development of Crysis 2, however our modding community has been, and remains, very important to us.

So, I wanted to tell you about our plans for supporting you in the future with some really exciting news, which I want to share with you now. Modding with the most powerful game engine is coming back!

We want to see what you guys can do with CryENGINE 3 and we hope we'll be as amazed with the things you create as we have been over the past few years. This time around, we're going to do things in a different way - offering you the right tools to achieve your vision.

First of all, we will be launching an Editor for Crysis 2 early in summer. This will allow you to build new maps, items and more custom content for Crysis 2. For teams looking for even more creative freedom, we have another option: The free CRYENGINE SDK.
Be Free

In August 2011 we will be launching a free CryENGINE SDK. If you want to use it for fun, like all our previous MOD SDKs it will be completely free of charge, to anyone who wants to play with it! You just register, download the SDK with a personalized license key and you're good to go!
Be Creative

We'll be giving you access to the latest, greatest version of CryENGINE 3 - the same engine we use internally, the same engine we give to our licensees, the same engine that powers Crysis 2.

This will be a complete version of our engine, including C++ code access, our content exporters (including our LiveCreate real-time pipeline), shader code, game sample code from Crysis 2, script samples, new improved Flowgraph and a whole host of great asset examples, which will allow teams to build complete games from scratch for PC.
Be The Developer

With all this power in your hands - we know you're going to do some amazing things with the engine, so we're working out how best to support you.

We'll also be sharing our documentation with you, which is written by the developers of the engine, and we'll be giving you a new and improved crymod.com. We'll update the Free CryENGINE SDK regularly, to make sure you have access to all the advances we make to CryENGINE 3.

If you want to use it to make a game to launch commercially, we'd like to help you with that. If you want to take your product down a traditional commercial route, we will offer an innovative low cost licensing model if you want to release your game digitally.

If you're looking to use CryENGINE for non-gaming purposes, we'll have a per-seat business model for the engine - please enquire at mycryengine.com for further details.

So to go over the details again:

Our next release will be the Crysis 2 Editor, this is for those of you who want to create content for Crysis 2. In August 2011, we will launch our Free CryENGINE SDK for all of you who want to create totally new content on CryENGINE 3. If you just want to make fun, free projects, you can do that free of charge. If you want to try and commercialise your game, we'll be here to help you with that.

I truly value the contribution you have all made to our company and I hope we can continue giving back to you in future.

All the best,

Cevat Yerli

CEO & President of Crytek

August.. Interesting how he chose August. :D I hope everyone else caught the reference.

they r not fake...
@the people who hope they can build maps for the consoles.
U CANT!

U only can create Maps for the Console if u own a JTAG (xbox360),DevKit (360/PS3) or a Jailbroken PS3

But u cant get working Maps on a normal Retail Consoles without anny Hard and Software Modifications.
Trust me.
Ive already created my own levels for Crysis2. Ive already got this map working on my jailbroken PS3.

If you can't build maps on Consoles (Specifically the Xbox) why did Far Cry 2 have not only a map editor, an achievement for making and uploading a map but also a service to download player-built maps?

Yes, but Cryengine 3 is completely different from the engine Ubisoft used in Farcry 2 so it's not a fair comparison.

Need some Ice Maps like in Crysis 1 where throught he story the world changed into snow and ice, I was disappointed that in New York there was no story section where there was snow or ice, I was excited to see the Alien Scouts and Soldiers but I guess not. Would ahve been amazing with the lighting and all that the blue visor lights would fly around at night time, especially when evacuation of the civilians from central station i think lol.

the Farcry2 Editor is an inbuild editor.
But for Crysis2 u only can create maps on a PC, with Sandbox3 or an SDK.

Pls stop compmaring Farcry2 inbuild tools with Crysis2 and the CryEngine3.
