Retaliation DLC. Thank you. (Updated 4/18)

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:05 am

only been around 3 weeks, grain glitch makes it unplayable for most still no patch and there allready have there dlc on the way to make more money for an unfinished game. its brown noses like you who let things like this become an everyday problem in the gaming world. what do they owe me.. i payed for a game cost me £40 if i had no internet with that grain glitch it would warrent a full refund due to being a broken product and under trading standard policys be unnaceptable. wipe the **** off your nose and go swollow your dadddys man sausage
That was a little too far. I see at least 300,000 people everyday in Crysis 2 on the xbox 360. The game is not "unfinished". It's people like you who make the forums terrible to view or search for some quality feedback. I get a grain glitch maybe 1 out of 50 matches. Why pointlessly complain? Stop trolling and posting for no g.od da.mn reason besides to get you hard. Thank you, have a wonderful day.

where is your proof that 300.000 people play this game everyday on 360?
there is less than 400.000 people on the xp leaderboard wich shows how many people have played atleast one game online not how many people are currently playing. so basicaly your trying to say that 99.9 percent of all people that own this game are playing online every day. lol
Thank you. I thought I put 200,000. My mistake.

You're incredibly incorrect.

You realize that they have a update patch siz limit right? So they have to "backpack" it with DLC. I believe the patch limit is around 9.8 MB. Why do you think they are releasing DLC so quick? To update Crysis 2.

So I paid 60 buck for a broken game and now I need to pay 10 more bucks to fix?
Also I don't think DLC comes with patches, those are 2 separate things and I never saw any publisher mixing both...if they would do that they are going to get their asses owned BIG TIME.

I do not agree with this, charging for DLC when they should be fixing the current problems online, now I would pay for some SP levels as that part of the game works almost 100% working, but online is laggy as hell still.

also the patch limit as far as I have seen is 10MB will try and see what game it was that was updated.

They changed it from 4mb? I think the download limit is as far as they can compress it? 4mb can be unziped to 11mb?

I downloaded a update for bulletstorm which was 90mb... confusing stuff dudes

Even if the patch comes with dlc (thanks fo those who haven't xbl, enjoy your grain glitch guys !) it should be FREE. Just to clean that mess a little.

Yeah the patch limit has since changed from a 4mb limit. Any TU (title updates) that are under 4mb are saved in the system's internal cache drive. Anything above 4mb is saved in the game's save folder. The player can view it in the memory manager (or delete it if they choose to).

I get that those that are expiriecing major issues would not be getting the DLC. That is just common sense. But I have logged over 70+ hours of MP playtime and am having a blast. I have the occassionally laggy game or bug hear or there but if you think I'm going to pass up new maps for a game that I can't stop playing, you've got another thing coming. Unfortunately it seems that most of the people that are having issues are form counties other than the US. So region filterting seems like the easiest fix. Hope they sort it out for everyone. Mean while, I'll be owning it up on Crysis 2 every day. See you around.

I completely disagree b/c I am from the US as well and have more laggy games than good ones. If you want to go buy the maps then good on you but I sure as hell am not. Not even worth it.

I'll buy it. but i expect them to make a notice that they intend to patch some of the bugs in multiplayer. I constantly find me and my friend being in the same squad, but when we get into the game, we are sometimes on opposite teams, the teams are like 5 versus 1, this one time we loaded into a map and were the only ones on the map, and the worst one, is that we ended up in different games, and we didnt realize it till the end lol

I am definitely not buying this DLC. I'm not even considering it until the game receives a real patch.

It should come as no surpise that DLC is being released so soon, there is absolutely no question that it was being put together since before the release.

The mentality that the game industry has adapted annoys me with a supreme passion. I'm all for DLC but the thing is a lot stuff released is stuff that really should have been released on the disk. What pisses me off the most is that (using Transformers: War for Cybertron as an example) some DLC is just a code to unlock stuff that is on the disk. I mean WTF!? I'm paying to unlock content on the disk I paid for!? Why cna't a game be released whole? Why do video games seem to be more money-focused today? I remember Capcom announcing DLC for MvC3 a week before the game's release!

Like I said, I'm all for DLC (if it's well worth the price). This game is good so if the maps are really good as in big and suitable for snipers then I'll buy it AFTER a patch. If the patch is in the DLC as some games do then I'll stop playing until justice is served.

I totally agree, with Resident Evil 5 they brought out DLC 2 weeks after release for a multiplayer component, when I looked at the size it was 1mb and cost 1200 MS points - I raged that it was already on the disk if it only took 1mb to add the MP content and I wasn't paying that much for something that was quite obviously already on the disk - traded it in the week after....

So you downloaded the $15 DLC for the $60 game and then, just like that sold the game?!?

How is this topic needed? Were you too lazy to read the top two topics, both of which are about the DLC and contain the exact same link from 4 whole days ago?

Doesn't seem genuine to me. The levels seem pretty much identical to the SP versions, whereas in-game they're usually very different and often at different times of day. Also where are the enemies? Anyone with Photoshop and nothing better to do can superimpose the HUD on some SP screenshots, but it'd be a bigger job to convincingly put Nanosuited enemies in too.

May be real, but I don't think so.
