Retaliation Video! WTF

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:28 am

I continue to be disappointed about Crytek. Release a DLC when the have rapidly shrank. I am afraid to make this purchase because I may never play these maps (No confirmation if the private match reset glitch was fixed). Crytek has done a horrible job with the community on updates. If the UK developed this game, what's wrong with them coming on the forums and speak about future changes? EA is going to flip out when they see the sales next week. Of all the EA games I purchased, Crytek has done beyond the worst in community development.

Here is the link to DLC. It is entertaining, but that is it. They did not build up the excitement for it, or did any interviews beforehand. Crytek you are horrible salespeople.

Crytek UK team just handled the MP portion, so their working on the patch, and updates. (Maybe a bad idea?)According to Adam. But, the problem is we have no communication.

The map pack will still sell well. COD is the king in proving that theory.

They sure know how to make exciting trailers :D

Wow I can't wait until this time next week, definitely getting that! Hopefully they will release another patch within the next week to give the public more confidence.

Also they need the patch to fix map rotation, otherwise we would never be able to play the new maps lol as we will be stuck in an endless loop of playing Terminal and Skyline 70% of the time which were currently are.

Thats optimistic for a game that has no more than 5k people playing it across all platforms. I think 5k is also optimistic lol.

I hope it does well though because I hope to pick it back up when things have been fixed.

Crytek waits a week before announcing a Map Pack that is coming out next week. If you are going to have a big party for a lot people to show up, you do not announce it a week before. I own two companies, and it seems that there are too many cooks in the kitchen. No one knows what the other is doing. There should be a team for the MP portion of the game, so the community stays strong until an DLC. Not come on here and reply to post with a robotic tone. At least Vahn or JD_2020, kept the communication open and tweeted every day.

Since you brought it up. Why in the hell would you pay for a new map pack with the issues you just mentioned? That really baffles me. It's because of people like you imo why developers get away with doing what they do. Keep bending over twisted

Ummm Sooo are we going to get a title update that fixes the sh1t netcode and abysmal matchmaking prior to the map pack release? I mean as it stands, right now, there are currently 12 maps that I only get to play 4 of because of the broken match making and half the games lag like @ss

If there's no title update to fix those two very specific and important issues prior to the DLC, I'm done.

If there is an update with a 'grain glitch' fix before the 17th...I will definitely purchase this pack. Otherwise, LA:Noire is out on the 17th and I'm grabbing that. (can't go wrong with a company that developed RedDead:Redemption)

I don't know what I'm doing really, I want the Map pack but at the same time I don't want to reward their bad behavior.

I probably wont buy it at day one as I have exams in a couple of weeks anyway. I hope they sort out the map rotation and matchmatching as it's beyond awful atm.

Why on earth should you I or anybody else buy Map Pack DLC when the game isn't finished??? Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Crytek cannot give us a fart for weeks, yet they want more of our hard earned cash for DLC.

That's a bigger joke than the way your company carries itself on your own forum

I understand what you're saying. It's very frustrating as I really want that Map Pack. It looks excellent. High quality maps for a good price. Compare this to the more expensive s**t maps you get with Black Ops and they're excellence shines even more.

If they've released a patch to MS for certification then they could at least list the fixes it contains or tell us what they working on. It's so f**king simple it's beyond my comprehension why they don't do it. PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE PLEASE TELL ME WHY THEY CAN'T DO THIS? I am sincere in my request. As a human being we attempt to make sense of the world, but I cannot find an adequate reason for the silence. I DONT UNDERSTAND.

Perhaps they cannot tell us the former in case it fails but the latter takes 5mins to write up on a forum. 5 MINUTES!

Their online and forum is dying, being reduced to a quagmire of hate threads and yet they continue to live in la la land with rose tinted glasses thinking that all is well with the world.

If you look at the youtube comments on some of the Crysis vids people are aware of the problems OUTSIDE this forum. You don't have to be a genius to know the matchmatching is the worst seen in any MP shooter known to mankind. Me and my friends sometimes laugh when playing in a "this can't possibly get much worse". We shouldnt feel like this, bad things happening on the game should be the exception not the rule. I expect failed host migrations, having to dashboard and turn my Xbox several times in the space of a couple of hours.

I can not justify paying for DLC until they patch the MP.
That is how we need to respond to this sort of madness.

No More Money for you until you fix the game.
It is just that simple.

Is it just me or do all of the "new" maps look like they've been copy and pasted from the campaign? So they want us to pay $10 for content that's basically already on the disc...

I guess it shouldn't be. What I'm really surprised at is how this doesn't seem to bother anyone else.

This video pisses me off for several reasons:

1) The game doesn't run that smoothly.
2) Matches are no where near that "civil" It's about people walking around and shooting the first thing they see as if it "wabbit season"
3) How the hell did the guy at 1:06 slide for 4 seconds?
4) How the hell did the second sliding guy come out of a slide to shoot a dude with a handgun AND WIN
5) Why did the trailer not show players not running around like headless chickens and playing as a squad like in Battlefield?

it would be nice if they added a level 4 for the modules or something like a new game mode with every dlc, that would make people want to buy em! please release a nice juicy patch that fixes many problems like connection issues and the lag we shouldn't have!

i watched the video and it looked great! thats what a game of crysis 2 online should be like? hey who knows maybe they might release a new patch with the dlc and it'll run like that! armor mode also seemed to work and maybe they removed the aim assist so noobs can get better! i mean the motto is adapt and survive for the first game so noobs with no skills have to adapt! air stomp seems to work, i just hope it isn't pc gameplay with their dedicated servers... i just want it to run on my xbox like in the video with a new patch that might be released on the 17th?

hey dude above me i think i saw ur post on youtube LOL!

so did they make it so that a melee hit doesn't drain energy just health or was it always like that? it should drain a little energy and cause less damage and they should introduce the power punch into mp,
take away auto aim(people who say don't are too lazy to learn to play properly) and buff up armor so that its a proper class like stealth and power

spoiler!
is hargreaves why they put in partial nudity?

No I find everything about crysis 2 to be great, the campain the multiplayer. I do think they need to fix the tiny gilitches here and there but all in all its a pretty good game. I would defenitly buy the Retaliation Map pack I think it will be so much better then First strike on COD.

Budda, each and every day of non contact from Crytek draws me closer and closer to my fear. I fear that Crytek have ditched working on Crysis 2, and what we (lagggggggg) see is what we get for good. They can pump out DLC and still leave the game in this shambolic state expecting more cash - if people are crazy enough to line their pockets with more gold then more fool them. They can whistle if they think I'm that stupid.

At first I thought the above, and deep down I thought - nahhh, a creditable? company like Crytek wouldn't do the dirty on it's customers,

Would it................

^ Ummm yeah... you xbox 360 guy have it easy compared to PC guys since day one.

We have hackers, the ranked severs didn't work right till about 2 weeks in,
umm HACKERS, random lag (what is wrong is the NETCODE, dc servers would do nothing to solve that you noobs),
HACCCKKKEEEEERRRSS!!!(though you have them now which means Crytek will have to do some thing), and the hit detection is crappy.

The grass over here is not greener and that your side of the fence is coming down to our level means crytek has given up or they WILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. I hope the true crytek( Frankfurt team) gets involved to fix this ****. Cause the UK team is failing bad on all sides.
