Retiring my character

Post » Sat Dec 14, 2013 12:59 pm

Since my character is becoming OP and it looks like her story is finishing, I am going to slowly but steadily retire her and start anew when OpenMW reaches version 1.0. I have a few questions though.

1). How can I do this without making the retirement too sudden? I want my character Kate to expect it and enjoy her life to the maximum until then. She's an alcoholic and a skooma addict and very mentally unstable.

2). Kate will have a child who will continue on her legacy. How can I explain the fact that the new child character will be doing the same questlines as Kate?

3). How to not make another OP character, since I have MCP's uncapper? I'm thinking that the new character will be a pure mage with no weapons.

1. Have Kate dig down, sober up and stop being an addict before you end her journey.

2. Have Kate relate to her daughter that everything she thought she had done in an alcoholic/drugged out stupor really never happened after all. So, little Katie should actually do these things.

3. Don't reload your character if she dies. A character that truly risks everything each time she faces danger deserves to live and a character that is resurrected every time you kill her deserves no glory. Your characters are OP from day one if they are immortal. Good luck!

1. Thanks - that's a good idea :)

2. It does seem rather clunky - the daughter will have journals from Kate in the old family home.

3. Yeah, I'm going to play DiD as it's no fun being invincible.

2. Perhaps Kate smoked magic skooma that gave her incredible insights. Azura works in strange ways.
