Return to a Cyrodiil Settlement

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 6:35 am

Really? Because Bruma was my personal favorite, and I liked the shops it had. You gonna stop asking questions now? No need to harass me over why i want to return to a city from Oblivion. :nono:

Ok, I'll stop asking questions. I'm not sure asking you to explain your thoughts behind your post is harassment, but suit yourself.

I was one of the few that chose Anvil after a serious amount of thought.

I chose this because:

1. Anvil has the only functioning lighthouse in the game.
2. Anvil had the only decent docks in the game.
3. Anvil's architecture was inspired by the Summerset Isles and is very cheerful to look at.
4. The Gray Fox is from Anvil.
5. Haunted Manor.

Yea good point Anvil definitely had some cool and unique things about it.

No. I don't want Devs to waste time on a place I've already been to. I don't care about change, the whole land of Skyrim is a change to me (Because I've never been there.)

Replay Oblivion if you want to see these places again. Want change? Download some mods. That's what they are here for. Don't have a PC? You should get one.

I think a return to Cyrodiil could work in the form of a quick story quest or side quest, where you dont have the option to go exploring all over the place but have a chance to do the quest and venture around the specific area a bit.

Except for the fact that TES doesnt do many closed area quests. A Brush with Death and Paradise are the only ones that come to mind. It detracts from the sandbox style.

Oh ok I'm the only one who has really answered your question and gave a detailed answer. C'mon, the guy is only asking you lot a simple and interesting question.

Can no one not imagine going back to a previous city 200 years after they had last been there? How much would it have changed? Would the city be in ruin? It
would an exciting prospect for me. I mean the city could have flourished and even expanded.

Bruma is the coolest town and have higher chance to be in the game (something like 0.00...01%)

PS: who the hell voted Bravil ?? such an ugly town...

We're not going to return to Cyrodiil. Firstly the scale is different so the entire city would have to be redesigned on said larger scale. Secondly, the models will have to be remade in higher quality, as well as the NPCs and such, and I'd prefer that effort go into something IN Skyrim than outside it.

Nonetheless, Skingrad was my favoutie city, followed by Leyawiin.

I didn't like the walled cities then, I wouldn't like to see them again now. And I hope the cities in Skyrim will be so much interesting to compensate that they're closed again :(

I'd want to return to a rebuilt Kvatch.

I would actually be thrilled if you could make it just into the northern mountains of Cyrodil, and access Frostcrag Spire. I would also be pleased if they allowed you to travel to Solsthiem, at least. Since Skyrim as a land mass is smaller than Cyrodil, but the game is supposedly about the same size, maybe they could make that work.

I think it's called SKYRIM for a reason.

TES IV was called OBLIVION

and how much time did we spend in there, huh?

I voted Bruma. I thought there'd be more love for Anvil.

That's a lot of resources to be used for a one-off quest. I would prefer they spent their time and disc-space adding fifteen dungeons and quests to Skyrim proper.

If I want to go back to Cyrodiil I'll put the Cyrodiil CD in.

I mean, I'm sure the last FIVE YEARS is enough for most people to get their fill.

I really liked Chorrol, though I've always thought it should look a little more forrested and rustic. Here's to hoping mods can be awesome.

I can't vote unfortunately. I don't want to visit any of the cities in Cyrodiil.

Either Anvil, Cheydinhal, Skingrad, or none. But definitely NOT Bravil; the miserable dung-hole of the Empire.
