Return of glass weponry? : V

I you remember, the glass weaponry in Oblivion was the green clear weapons. Swords, armor, arrows the whole nine yards. I personally want those to come back, except perhaps in more colors. What did you guys think of Glass weapons or armor?

They're already back, we have a screenshot of two. An Elven Glass Sword, and a Glass Scimitar.

They look much more conservative this time, which I like. I hated the borderline Jedi Consular green color they sported before. Now they look like the volcanic glass they are. I can't wait to see the armor.

Never really liked them, to be honest. To me it always looked like a weapon/armour made out of kryptonite. Would be nice if there were more colours though. So I never use them anyway but I'd still like them in the game for variety sake.

the only glass weapons i ever used where the arrows because. what happens to the arrows you arnt able to recover? perhaps the arrowheads shattered within your foes body when the arrow hit a bone. see you cringed a little didnt you? glass arrows just sound plain nasty and without glass weapons there would be no glass arrows so of course i hope glass weapons return so i can get my nasty little shrapnel arrows back.

I liked how they looked in Morrowind. I hope to find Skyrim's weapon's to have their own ~~Norse~~ Nordic touch.

I'm not that fond of glass equipment... I realize they're probably made differently so that they aren't so brittle as their names suggest, but I always wondered why I would wear glass armor when it looks like you could shatter it with a pebble! o.o

No thank you, I will stick with steal armor and weaponry... or the many other shiny, metallic materials. >.>

ahh i never woulda guessed that that was glass... then again it looks sick.
I wonder if there is going to be any plain glass weapons like no design or anything just clear smooth glass

Well, I am just assuming it is glass, it's not actually confirmed. But it looks remarkably similar to the Elven Glass sword, minus the different lighting, and I don't believe any other known TES material fits the bill for it's unique look.

Glass if tempered would be almost immune to bladed weaponry. Short lifespan, yes, but until it broke it would provide ample defense vs cuts. Specially that glass is too smooth and a steel blade would cause more damage striking it than slashing.

Glass sword... Now that I don't know. It would svck to get cut by, for sure.

Also, bludgeon weapons would wreck glass pretty quick. So yeah, I'd have to agree there.

If glass did have sword like durability and could take the impact of battle, it would be Damn near invincible and impenetrable. I suspect that the latter is the case in tes

Well, it's definitely proof of the Elven variety. It's been confirmed a dozen times over that the sword in the screenshot (The very same used in the Demo during Bleak Falls Barrow) is an Elven Glass Sword.

The Scimitar is just a guess. I make no secret of that.
