huh, we have a incompatability? o.o what mod is that so we can list it, btw with ROS come prepared, you don't fight normal enemies, you fight HEROS.

The team is considering if it will be worth it to continue the future chapters, they have agreed to only do so if the reception is good for this one, aka if they know enough ppl want it and will enjoy it.

lol, it means released. others you might be wondering WIP (work in progress) and Beta (means its in testing phases or not completely done) sorry if you already know those ones I don't mean to insult just trying to be helpful

I did know the other two (As im making a mod thats a Beta WIP :D) but no insult taken, thanks though, been wondering a while and finally just asked :foodndrink:

Basically WIPZ and RELZ were put into place 5 or so years ago during Morrowind I believe. When Beth decided that it was no longer OK to search 3 char strings. There were [censored] loads of arguments at the time. The main ones were over [censored]ing at beth to give us back 3 char searches, whether it should be s or z on the end, whether we should just go back to using REL and not worry and new chaps wondering what all the hubbub was about.

So back on topic, how exactly does this thing start? Do I have to wait? Do I have to gain Infamy? Does it start at load? I noticed a series of messages in the corner was I supposed to get a quest then?

insert game, check mod. play game ^.^ its that simple Return Of Shadows gives away nothing... it will start when the time is ripe that is all i can say, you cannot ripen the time. For some, it starts as soon as they load the mod, For others it may take 3 in game weeks or more before the mod starts. It all.... depends. I guess you can have one hint... "Are you a strong warrior?"

Those mods are, I am not sure which one it was so I took them both off, Daggerfall NPCs and Daggerfall NPCs - MMM compatible.

I started it with a level 29 warrior. Something like around 130 or more days played in game.

DL the lastest esp file and the days begin from the day you dl the mod, you MUST play game like normal.. aka standing in one spot and waiting will do nothing *has tried this*... my suggestions... hmmmm... are laxing.... don't stand on that tower in leyawin and wait? fast travel isn't your friend? or maybe it is... i'm not sure... it really really is random...

Minor Suggestion: Set the races Included to non-playable if you don't want people playing as them. I was taken aback when I went to make my next character and I found that there were a couple races with descriptions stating that the race isn't for playing. I didn't think it made sense, so I thought I'd suggest it.
If you don't know how to do it in the editor(I don't remember how at this point), then opening the mod in TES4EDIT and changing the flags on the races to 0(or just set the playable flag to not playable, if you find that easier), and it should be easy as... pie? Or was that cake? Maybe it was a muffin.

Somewhat on-topic: I don't know why it was changed, but the arena music is pretty sweet. Maybe it was a fluke chance, but the music that played when I entered the arena made me... something. I don't really know what, I wasn't there at that time. But it was good. I think.
I didn't replace one bit of music, and I'm wondering if I should have now. The music in this mod screams awesome so far.

to dakorma, save without the mod once more (sorry) then load that save using the newer esp. After the "we present" message, you should know that it is all headed your way. *wishes there was a way to test this but it has been absolute for the last two years... Cryon cannot be stopped and has spells to help him get to you asap lol.

Yx33a, Yeah we wanted the music to be as enchancing as possible for such a dark mod. Btw the reason we set them the way they are is because in our past test, non playable races do this when u want them to talk ".... uuuuuhhhh" and so it would have been many blank npcs -_- if otherwise, but we'll see if there is something to be done about it.

I hate this bug, i swear yesterday morning it had vanished on all 30 of my test loads .... now its back and its not even the same range of problems -_- but i am working on getting to the root of it all.

I got a CTD after trying to load up a save game and after attacking the guy in the arena and he casts the scripted spell I end up getting suspended outside of the cell which it transports you to. I can't move so I can't walk back into the cell. I was going to toggle collision but then I got the CTD lol. Sorry for the bad report but hopefully this helps.

All reported errors have currently been fixed, please download the lastest .esp file and replace your current one with it. Enjoy the mod :)


For everyone waiting to download till the save error was cured, THE MOD NOW WORKS WITH SAVES AND ALL :). The problem was found to be one npc in a room of 50 npcs who had somehow become corrupted. that npc was deleted (instead of fixed. sorry evil guild, evil modder, he'll regret delaying this mod yes he will mwa ha ha ha ha ) *regains control*

As of now Gamerdude is in the process of adding scripted abilities to the haven (such as a real training room)

I am in the process of creating a store for Anthrop Glad

Cinkei is in the process of creating several different types of Armor for the Shadowknights as we have heard from you (those that give us strength) what you have asked and As the description says, we will Bring it.

heh, you think Chapter 1 was fun... spoiler... (Chapter 2 is almost pure assasinations, battles break ins and boss fights... Prepare yourself or you will make Mirage very happy to see your death. )

Version 1.03 Loaded, a few errors fixed as well as a critical glitch stopping quest mob starter from acting right addressed and fixed. Tested for errors starts right 10 out of 10 times.

How to start:
To start quest Dresho Des'Cryon must find you.

What after the arena?:

Go to Namira's Shrine, report what you've done. Follow Mirage.... In case you missed it, look around the shrine ^.^.

Having a strange issue: I get the start of the mod event, but then the messages loop like crazy and the mirage is all "I HAVE NO GREETING". I have a hunch as to what the problem is(conflict with alternate start mods, or just the one I use{http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23757}). I'll be starting a game without it to test(and maybe finding a way to force the guy to spawn would help, more so for testing, hint hint).
EDIT: Wait, I might have forgotten to update. Just a sec.
EDIT: No, doesn't seem to help. Which is strange. Maybe I did something wrong with the mod install. But I don't see how I could have, it's a simple mod. Well, kind of.

Oh, and I ran into the guy in the CGen dungeon. Maybe there should be a check to make sure this doesn't happen?

Issue Fixed, I had to make their races playable to talk to Mirage.

o.o yeah that wasn't a issue with my mod, idk what that was an issue with, but we made them all playable for that very reason, in spite of the "why are there races that say "do not pick" messages we've gotten :P
