Return to Solstheim

Post » Wed Jan 05, 2011 3:06 am

Personally I REALLY hope I get to go back. I want to see the ruins of Ravenrock and possibly the ruins of Fort Frostmoth. I always thought that Solstheim was the greatest part of Morrowind so a return there would be right up my alley. Besides, I could use a nice mead right about now...

Another one of these? My answer is that I'd like to be able to interact with the dunmer refugees, and kill them.

No keep Solstheim in Bloodmoon. We don't need it, Skyrim is a new place, lets enjoy it.

Well Solstheim was rather bland so if they would implement it in Skyrim I'd like to see it redesigned. Dunmer refugee camps would be very cool.

Not outright comind back, no - however good the memories, in fact the better the memories, the better left alone. But references ? Yes, definitely. Something like the Valus Mountains in Cyrodiil - who do you meet suddenly.

I wanted to go back too when I heard that it was going to be Skyrim. Solstheim isn't officially, or rather wasn't officially a part of any province, all though it was run by the Nords pretty much. I don't know if that's changed at all or not over the last 200 years.

Solstheim is my fav place in all of TES, its atmosphere was so awesome, Bloodmoon is the best expansion much better than lame SI. With that said I voted no, because I would rather them work on new places than rehash old ones. With MW mods I can already make Solstheim look much better anyway.

People, we can already go there in Morrowind. If Bethesda should work on another expansion, then let them do something they didn't do before.

I'd rather go to somewhere a bit more warmer to the south, to be honest. Or someplace in the western Tamriel at least.

Coming there from Morrowind, it seemed so different. After Skyrim it'd seem like... additional Skyrim, but now with more elves.

I expect someone to announce soon that they are intending to mod it in - but I doubt that it will be in the vanilla game

What would be good would be references in books or - even better - the gossip chain that you hear as you walk through the streets

Yes. Yes. Solsteim needs to be an official expansion. I want to see how different this place is.

Nah...
It would look way too close to Skyrim's environment.

If I want an expansion or such, I'd want somewhere that feels and looks different than Skyrim.
Plus, we've already been in Solstheim.

No. This is Skyrim. For the love of Azura, let's let Morrowind be Morrowind and Skyrim be Skyrim. I don't want the developers wasting time showing me somewhere I've already been. I'll be happy to return to Morrowind once all of the other provinces have been adequately explored.

No, but introducing a new place would be great. Maybe in the future expansions.

I wouldn't mind going to Solstheim but I'd rather go to another daedric relm like the Shivering Isles but have it be a frozen wasteland type of a relm.
