Return the game

The product is defective. The best way to be heard is by speaking with your wallet. Return the game as defective to wherever you made your purchase. If they fix it, then great, buy the game again, a game that works. If not, you should not have to pay for this. This game is the not the product that was advertised.

I have to agree that the freezing issues (which is really the only problem I have) is a serious and annoying one. I didn't vote int he pole because I didn't agree with either option. To me, the game is pretty much as advertised but it's definitely not fine as it is and needs a patch A.S.A.P. I'm not planning on returning the game, I'll just shelve it until some sort of fix/patch is released. It's not worth the hassle of returning it to Best Buy, losing a restocking fee and then buying it again once the fix is released. I really hope someone from Beth is reading these but I won't hold my breath.

I'm glad you're still enjoying the game, however, Bethesda does actually have to pay for defective product if they are returned by the retailer. If it is just resold at a second hand price at the retail level then the retailer won't buy additional copies of the game for future sales.

In either case, I have my money back, which is actually a key point in returning the game.

Actually I've read some other posts on other sites where a lot of people had claimed to have returned the game. Seems to be what the consumer with any self respect is doing. Expect more and you'll get more. Go along with poor products and that's what you'll continue to receive.

While I appreciate your approach and I applaud the good-natue in which your undertaking it - however I feel as if this will be a margin to them, if even that. The game topped UK sales here, as well as the fact were dealing with a company that doesn't seem to have a consciouseness or culpability in dealing with the post-release of the game. FO3 is solid proof of that, the old company wouldn't have dealt with it like this. There is little to no community consideration and cooperation, unsurprisngly leading to lots of PC mods fixing the game. How sad is that, people are going out their way to fix a game they paid for.

Still like it, not taking mine back, waiting for the patch.

I will probably not buy future 'thesda titles right away.
I will steer clear for a month or two until I can read the forums and reviews first, see if its worth the frustration.

No matter which way you slice it, all the PC/360/PS3 trouble = BAD BUSINESS DECISION.

Bad Bethesda, Bad, Bad Bethesda.

I voted No, but I definitely do not think it's fine as it is. I have freezes every couple of hours and some other bugs are just really annoying. But I'm not returning it (at least not just yet) as I hope for some updates soon to fix this crap.

But to Bethesda I say:

We are not your beta testers! We pay good money for it and expect it to work out of the box! We all realize bugs can't all be avoided but this is a travesty.

I have hardly played any buggier games than New Vegas or Fallout 3. You should be ashamed of yourselves to release this in its current extremely crappy condition. What about the people who bought it who doesn't have their PS3:s hooked up online? They're basically left with an unplayable game. Ridiculous!

Next game I'm gonna wait a day or two and read your forum about what a buggy mess Fallout 5 turned out to be. If it turns out to be as big of a piece of junk code as this product is I will pirate it for my PC instead of shelling out about 50-60 euros for a legit copy, because I intend to keep playing the incredible Fallout franchise which I have followed and payed for since the original Fallout, but I won't spend another cent if you don't get your act together.

If it was a perfect world, getting everyone that is frustrated over the game(enough to return it) and organizing them to take it back on the same day would be a priceless act in itself. I wonder if the fact that around lets say, 20,000 people returned the game on the same day. It would get attention, but would it make a difference or not, who knows. I have experienced freeze ups etc. just like everyone else, but, I have not found it to the point of negating the playability. It's odd that more than one of us has the same basic console, disc bought from the same retailer, but, some have more problems than others. I have to agree with everyone stating that the retailer (at the local level) is the primary source for communication and reimbursemant when it comes to returning the product. We have to remember that all the guys at Gamestop feel just as aggravated, because they were told via Bethesda, Obsidian etc., that they were ready to ship on a certain date. Telling a vendor or retailer that a product is ready to ship means exactly that. Apparently, there are levels to the system of ready to ship. Bethesda has alot of people (inside and outside) that play this game, and are supposed to report any bugs etc. Now what bothers me is that how can all these people play this game, and not experience any of the bugs and glitches that were found in the "ready to ship" product? The answer? They did notice alot of the things that have been pointed out by all of the disheartened PS3 Universe, but sadly, they were not fixed. Now, if this was due to time constraints in conflict of the ship date, I can tell you that every single one of us would have waited an extra month for a glitch free product. Me myself, I would have been more than willing to wait until the beginning of the year if I thought it was going to be less glitchy (perfect is just waay too much to ask for these days) and a few less bugs. In my opinion, if they knew it was glitchy to the degree in which some people are describing, and could have fixed it by the product being delayed, I am pretty sure they would have gotten a lot less grief for that than what they did.

35 hours in one hard crash on the PS3 PAL version with 1.01 patch, not bad at all, infact FO3 GOTY I pumped over 300 hours into it and got a grand total of 7 Lockups requiring a restart, heck I get more than that on my PC so no it isn't defective well at least not for a majority of us. How many copies of FO3 NV do you think have been sold even in the English speaking countries? 30Million ? More? If you consider that the ONLY people that would frequent this part of the FO Forum are people who ARE having issues I think the game is pretty damned reliable on the big scale. I appologise if people are having troubles but the same thing happened with FO3.

Returning the game is a stupid idea, since the store most likely give u a full refund and it'll just get resold at a second hand price. Bethesda already has your cash when u first bought it. It doesn't matter to them now if u return it.

I'm hopeful that it'll be patched and sorted soon. Until then i'm just gonna deal with it. To me it aint a gamebreaker

Returning the game depreciates its core value and more importantly makes a bold statement from the consumer/gamer.

I got my refund in full and the guy that gave it to me said he even returned HIS copy. Now THAT's saying something.

All you fanatics that are flaming people on here because they are insulting the game are idiots. They have a right to [censored] about a faulty game and you KNOW this game has a [censored] amount of glitches.
