Returned the game today

Post » Mon Jun 14, 2010 10:49 am

Returned the game today, Ps3 version, sick of waiting for a patch that we dont know solves the freezes.

Didn't get a refund. get a trade-in value instead. 60% of newprice.

Obsidian destroyed this game.

Good riddance. I won't trade it in but I told some of my co workers to steer clear of the game or buy it used.

You done the best thing you can possibly do at the moment - likely the forseeable future for a long time.

Taking mine in tomorrow. It's utterly ridiculous that we let the game makers decide whether we can get a refund on a broken game or not...but that's another argument for another time.

I'm gonna at least get some of my money back while it still holds some value. Maybe wait until the price drops to the trade in value I get to re-buy it. Hopefully they will have it fixed by then. As bad as it is right now it probably won't be long before the price starts dropping.

BTW...I wouldn't tell any of my friends to buy this game right now...used or not, it's broken. Do you think the game is worth playing if you paid $5 less for it? Not me...and that's why I wouldn't even recommend buying used. They're either gonna have to fix it or drop the price to $20 before I recommend it to anyone I call a friend.

Thought about trading mine in, but I'm hoping Game Informer actually picks up on the problems PS3 owners in particular are having and flames Bethesda, turning this game into more of a joke in the minds of consumers than anything. When Interplay releases the MMO and blows the Bethesda attempts out of the water, we can all laugh at the day when we tried to play this utter piece of crap by doing silly work arounds, avoiding certain parts of the game and deleting certain files and turning off the internet, in the hopes that it would only freeze once every 5 hours instead of once every 30 minutes.

However, I did pick up a few new games that have been great... Fable III, and CoD:BO. Now THAT's what games should be like upon release. Not without their quirks, but playable! very playable.

Had the game worked people would have been discussing how great it is instead (though not in this sub-forum), and they would have done free advertising in the process. I just don't get Bethesda's behavior. The problem is most likely related to the problem FO3 had, and they had YEARS to fix that one, but didn't. Now it's coming back and biting them in the ass. I guess it is a justice of sorts.
