Returning characters from Oblivion

What characters would you like to see make a return in Skyrim from Oblivion? Perhaps as ghosts?

M'aiq

Same here. Would be pretty weird/creepy if M'aiq returned as a ghost wandering the mountains of Skyrim.

M'aiq and Umbra. No one else really mattered.

How about Martin Septim as Akatosh to help you defeat the Dragon?

This

Though I actually want to see a character return from Bloodmoon. I want to meet http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Athellor again and find out how is research went after he left for Skyrim to further study the Falmer. After all being a Altmer he could certainly still be alive. At the very least I hope we see a in-game book written by him.

From Oblivion:
M'aiq, Umbra (a new one...)

From Morrowind:
Divayth Fyr (perhaps related to a quest, or a lone wizard's tower somewhere far away from civilization).

I'd also like to READ something about what happened in Oblivion & Morrowind, and characters including from their stories... like Caius Cosades, Nerevarine, Champion of Cyrodiil, etc...

AFAIK Akatosh = Alduin, and Alduin is going to be the bad guy in Skyrim.

Books or rumours about characters from previous games would be cool. Perhaps the Champion of Cyrodiil, Chancellor Ocato, or maybe even people from The Infernal City. Sort of off topic, but I'd love to see Divayth Fyr from Morrowind, if he survived the events preceding Skyrim.

Janus Hassildor is possible.

But Maiq the Liar as a ghost who lies to people about having treasures in a cave. They go in, only to find themselves killed

Psh. Chances are a book on the Oblivion crisis would go like this:

"Martin, Uriel's most treasured son, was the only one to survive the attack by the Mythic Dawn. After single handedly saving Kvatch from complete destruction he went on to save Bruma with the help of his royal soldiers the Blades. He then entered a realm of Oblivion and defeated Mankar Camoran. Then, he went to the Imperial City and defeated Mehrunes Dagon by transforming into an avatar of Akatosh. He transformed into a statue afterwards so he could forever watch over his beloved people, who he alone fought to protect."

Stupid government drones get my story wrong... I did it all! I did all the legwork and he is still the ****ing hero! ARGH!

well 200 hundred years afterwards does kind of rule out seeing them unless ghost or descendant who is pretty much the same..
however seeing uncle sweeshare, glarthir, athellor, mudcrab merchant would be good..
but the only one who i really want there.. M'aiq

edit: ooh and perhaps Divayth Fyr and Yagrum Bagarn.. if they managed to survive everything since morrowind

Skyrim is 200 years after Oblivion, so unfortunately it seems M'aiq will have succumbed to age. Here's hoping his ghost will live on!

"M'aiq hears there are some people who like pretending fantasy is real. M'aiq suggests that they find something to do with all their free time."

- M'aiqs comment on how people claim that he shouldn't appear because it would break immersion. He is an easter egg.

dude's lived through worse. i'd totally love to chill with him, though. maybe Aryon too, he'd probably still be around.

M'aiq as a ghost somewhere would be fantastic.

I would like Wulf from Morrowind to make an appearance. Perhaps he can give us a lucky coin again.

I'd like for the Gray Fox to still be prowling about. We wouldn't necessarily see him ingame, but maybe we could hear a rumor or read a note about the troubles he's causing down south in Cyrodil. (And of course, by the Gray Fox, I mean the persona and not one specific man behind the cowl.)

I'd also like a couple Imperials named after my favourite Imperial NPCs of Oblivion - Maro Rufus (gotta love his enthusiastic endorsemant of light armour) and Raminus Polus (my namesake in many worlds, including this forum; thank you sir!)

Yes, which is why I think he could make a quick appearance in Skyrim. I'm sure 200 years doesn't effect Talos much.
:hugs: <--- That's Talos and me.
