Returning to Oblivion

The best advice i've seen yet

Although I'm not worried about money or newer games like this

The GOTY edition is just over $20 dollars(Thats me weeding the flower bed in 15 min cus mum just loves having a flowerbed without weeds)
I'm not to interested in any of the other games similar to Oblivion(DAO seems like it forces you to play through the story)
At the time that I did have Oblivion I also had a few other games that I was occupied with. In the end I only had a few hours on Oblivion and 30+ hours on the other games when i traded them all in.

At the time that I did have the game, it was just that, me and the game. I didn't know about these forums or anything. If I made a huge accomplishment(or seemingly) I had no one to gloat to(lol)

It sounds like i'm set on getting the game but i'm still uncertain.

I'll just add a little note to what I posted earlier, and that is oblivion is an enjoyable game.
After a long hiatus I took it up again thinking just to repeat the same old things I allways did, but posting here gives a good idea of all the things you can miss in the game.
The folks are a mix of old and new players helpful and eager to offer ideas, advice and tips, that helped me at least to take it slower and try out things I was to stuborn to attempt before.

Ditto. I was extremely active way back in like 06 before Shivering Isles or KOTN was out. I remember how people here were going nuts and posting like crazy when Mehrunes Razor came out. I was uber involved and even made http://chorrol.com/oblivion_help_dungeon_diving.html guide to dungeon diving. I also had guides to Robber's Glen Cave and Rockmilk Cave but sadly those weren't posted on Chorrol.com so got lost whenever this forums got swept. Anyways, I almost sold it back and I'm glad I didn't, I'm playing again and involved here and loving it. I'm even discovering things now that I never noticed back then.

I'm on my 3rd game/character and am trying to do different things or do them differently. In only a week, I've tried new things learned from the people here. It's great. Because of that other thread about making an enchanted sword, I went to Arcane U and made a great sword. It's not a one-hit sword but it's working great. I didn't vote because only you can decide if you want to do it again and if you'll put yourself into it. If you can do that, I think you'll have a great time. Good luck.

You gotta remember that I've never played Oblivion modded, so I wouldn't know the difference

Well..it's not like it's very difficult to tell the difference between Vanilla and modded. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTUQKby8PKo, or any other of mine and tell me if you can see the changes or not :)
