Now, don't everyone jump on me as I am declaring noob status. This gives me a few posts in the wrong category, off-topic issues, and old information. I have/had an illness called C.O.D.O. This is a very addicting illness and hadn't been able to shake it until recent weeks. It had something to do with the PSN being down. Oh, C.O.D.O. stands for Call of Duty Online. That was my failed attempt at being humorous. Anyways, I have pulled out my unopened Fallout 3 GOTY and thought I'd give her a go. Now, this is the secound time I have purchased this game (previous game was just Fallout 3). I totally loved the graphics and most everything about the game, but I had that illness that kept drawing me away from anything but COD. I have even purchased (but not played) New Vegas because I know this game/series is awesome!

I didn't take a Vault 101 Utility uniform. One quest/challange says I need one. Can I go back and get one? Is it over? Have I failed before I started? Do I need to delete my game save files & restart? Do I need to reformat my hard drive? Can ya help me?

I cant think of anywhere you need a vault 101 uniform for a quest.

But yes you can go back, after you finish the waters of life quest go
to vault 101 and go to your pip-boys radio and listen to the vault 101 signal.

Now about that uniform, there is one place you need a vault uniform but it's
not a vault 101 uniform.

It's for vault 112 and you get one when you get there, just do the main quest and
you will be fine.

No, you definitely don't need a Vault 101 Utility uniform. You'll need a Vault 112 uniform at some point, but the game will give that to you at the appropriate time.

It would be helpful if you told us which quest/challenge asks for this uniform.

The vault utility jumpsuit is a useful item though, because it gives a +5 bonus to lockpicking and a +5 bonus to repairs. I especially like the bonus to lockpicking, because I can't really think of any other item that gives such a bonus, but I probably just don't know all the good unique items yet.

I play as [40] boot. The [40] is a modern weapons clan server for UO, and I also play a lot on Historians Base Assault. I make sure to take the Vault Utility Suit, it's a huge help when I repair things, for many levels. The modded utility suit is nowhere nearly as good imo.
