Would bad reviews change your purchase for Brink?

Nope, from what I've seen the game looks like t's living up to expectations and as long as there is a good online community I don't give five flipping [censored]s about what any BS score a reviewer gives it because it will still be fun to me.

Why does something have to be bad to for something else to be preferred? :obliviongate:

If there were multiple bad reviews from well known and trusted sites, then I might think twice. Honestly though I want to give Brink a try before I can judge it. No review will stop me from buying it.

Well your talking to Wraith. Anything that doesn't have to do with assassinating someone, Wraith takes seriously.

i'm not bashing, but AC was praised highly while Tron was poorly received... AC has everything i like in a game but i dont like it

but to each his own my friend

Low scoring reviews that bring up legitimate issues could certainly make me reconsider my purchase, but none of the footage I've seen lately has raised any red flags, so I guess we'll see.

So you're probably gonna get 3 then?

I pre-ordered a while back. I am not going to cancel it the day before I get the game, especially after waiting two years for it to actually release. I don't care what reviewers say. And besides, most of them are about as trustworthy as my dog I put down for being untrustworthy. :shifty:

I'm set on buying this game, even though I haven't touched it, it seems impossible for it to not be the best video game purchase of my life. And besides, I always tend to disagree with reviews and ratings anyway; based on the fact that people and the general public can be stupid. Reviews shouldn't mean a thing, it all comes down to taste.

Bad reviews won't change my mind. Just because some COD kid thought Brink is for TDM and won't play it right, doesn't mean I will cancel my buy. From what I have seen, it's what I thought it would be. Heavy team base, you don't die in .2 seconds, and guess what, all the COD kids hate it and won't buy it. :celebration:

Exactly. From what I've seen, the only severe negativity has come from those who don't appreciate the slant SD were taking, and just disregard it because it doesn't perform like CoD.

If it got less than 3 Metacritic average of of 20+ reviews before the release date here, then I MIGHT POSSIBLY (but probably not) consider canceling my pre-order.

after the whole Too Human fiasco with reviewers copying reviews for a game they've never played just to give it a bad score, I rarely read reviews anymore. if a friend gets the game first I'll hear what they have to say, but I also have to consider the friend. my buddy Jake thinks the COD games are the best ever and even though he's primarily a pc gamer he never liked BF2. a guy on a couple forums im on, Maawdaawg, vie bought 5 or 6 games on his recommendation and so far I've only been u nappy with the purchase once.
