I'm not much for robots :P I like a normal dog. I think Dogmeat, but Rex had more personality or whatever. I'd like a normal dog companion with personality but of a different breed in Fallout 4. Maybe the same dog as Blood in A Boy and his Dog? I'd like that..

I like Dogmeat better, it's more fun traveling the wasteland with a dog that looks just like my unlce's over a dog that looks like it was hit by a car and doctors used pieces of machinary to fix them.

How? It's a very simple question, with very simple answers.

personally I prefer Dogmeat just a little bit more. When I first got Rex, I absolutely hated him, possibly probably because he wasn't Dogmeat, but the more I ran around with him, the more he grew on me. I still run around with dogmeat whereas I have put down New Vegas after two playthroughs.

Wrong, FO3 has no relation to either of the former Dogmeats. Dogmeat died at Mariposa, canon. The FO2 Dogmeat was an easter egg found in a non-canon special encounter.

Dogmeat from Fallout or Dogmeat from Fallout 3?

I would pick Fallout Dogmeat.
I would pick Rex over Dogmeat from Fallout 3.

Rex. I feel like an absolute jerk if I don't get his brain fixed almost immediately. Dogmeat felt like a poor attempt at fan service in F3.

I think someone at Bethesda said that he was supposed to be a descendant.

That's when I actively ignored that and decided the Lone Wanderer was like "Oh hey, there's this dog here! Hmmm... I have some dog meat with me... I know, I'll call him Dogmeat!". Because that infinitely makes more sense than it being a descendant.

Oh by the way, I chose Rex. I would prefer a regular dog with a different breed that isn't named Dog Meat for Fallout 4 though, we've had 3 cyberdog and *sigh*... 3 Dog Meats.

Dogmeat hands down, there was just something awesome about wandering the capitol with just him as a companion. Rex is cool but he just doesnt have the same feel.

Ps I almost pissed myself when I found Gibsons Scrapyard because I thought that I was going to find Dogmeat there, man I was dissapointed when I figured out he wasnt there.

I went with Rex, mainly because he can carry stuff. Dogmeat was every bit as invincible as fawkes too. I don t like invincible followers. Both were dumb and annoyed me. I d rather take a break on dogs in fo4. Stick with human or robot followers with at least a point and click command system. This way I could tell them where to go with out me moving in important situations.

Rex.

Robots are cool. Dogs are cool.

So both of them combined is even cooler.

Inside joke or not, that's a dangerous term that you and others have been floating around. If you think the poll is incomplete or lacking options (which IMO it is, which is also why I didn't vote) Then just say so. It would help to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings of the poster's opinions.

FYI: I fully understand what you were trying to say. Stating that I do not understanding the meaning of what an inside joke is, quite frankly is highly insulting and uncalled for.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and pick K9...

I'd rather have Rex than Dogmeat. Longer lifespan and he's just as capable.
