"Riding" Dragons/transportation

IGN: Can you ride dragons in Skyrim?

Todd Howard: Not in the way you're asking.
What I am assuming by this is that you cant mount a dragon and ride it like a horse (even if it might be possible and Todd is just trying to be misleading) but maybe you could like jump on top of the dragon and kill it while your on its back and its flying around trying to get you off, kinda like Shadow of the Collosus for the PS2 if you guys played that.

IGN: For getting around the world, what methods will be available? Fast-traveling, and if so is it the same system from Oblivion? Horse riding? Any other travel options, such as something similar to the silt striders from Morrowind?

Todd Howard: If you've been to a location before you can fast travel back. We also have a carriage system that can take you to some major locations that you haven't been yet, so it's a bit of a mix.
YES! I am so happy that they will have a carriage system. When I feel like RPing I could use that and when I feel like picking up Skyrim and just playing I could use the fast travel. THANK YOU BETHESDA!

It was just an off-hand joke, levitation won't be in as $300 DLC either. But I wouldn't mind better physical interaction and collision boxes around creatures, so you could sneak up and jump on a sleeping dragon.

No offense, but there are already threads for each of these topics right on the first page of these forums....I mean this didnt even require the search feature to find, they are literally right on the first page!

No, you cannot mount dragons. Whether or not a dragon can pick you up, or you can hop on his back, or none of the above. No mountable dragons. (My Opinion of course)

The carriage system is a nice addition. I never understood why there wasnt a system like this in OB, as there had been in MW. Very exciting development.

Next time though do a little research. There are tons of duplicate threads in here already.
