Rifles?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:57 pm

A RPG would be positioned on his shoulder. Ergo, no RPG. :spotted owl:

A very good point. But the grenade exploded upon contact, did look rocket-propelled (That, or it made a helluva smoke show), and didn't show much effect from gravity.

Grenade launcher modifed to fire RPG's?

come on. we all know its just a cinematic. it just wouldnt be as epic if it used just straight gameplay. it isnt meant to show off the games mechanics. only to get people interested

While editing scenes from that trailer, I actually considered it to be animation in the actual game engine, plus top-notch post-processing.
Technically, high-end PCs should be able to live-render cutscenes in the same graphical quality.

I see what you ment, but I wanted to point this out.

With all the customization options for other weapons I see no need for more than 2 LRs as long as they get just as much customization.

Seriously.

Link?

Also the time between shots is 1 sec for the drag and 3 for the barrett.

I hear the Rokstedi Assault Rifle (FN-Scar) is semi automatic, 15 shots, superior accuracy and very low recoil.

That's what we've been led to assume, at least. Hopefully that's the way it pans out.

The M14 lookalike would make a lot more sense to be semi-auto.

There isn't an M14 lookalike.

I know I can find vids of the Drag shooting which is one sec but I found one of the barrett and it was like only 2 sec. Let me go through 100's of Brink vids to find it.........

Actually, it's very hard to tell - he has his back toward us and his back blocks almost all, if not all, if the weapon in question.

It does look rocket propelled, but since that vid also has flips, rolls, and dual weilding, I'll file that one under "non-canon".

There also seems to be an RPG in the "Choir of Guns" when the guy with the minigun starts moving forward.

I may be wrong about the video, though.

But both rifles still only have 5 rounds per a magazine.

imo, the drag should have a 10 round mag.

Funny because in the vid the barrett had 4 and the dragnov had 6 per clip.

Oh then my information is outdated. :(

I still wouldn't mind 5 and 10. ... but then again if the rokstedi is semi-auto with 15, I'll go with that :).

On a separate note, I'm planning to attach a silencer on most of my weapons.

Do the silencers reduce damage or stability/accuracy in this game?

That's kinda of odd.

The barret has 4 in the magazine, yet 15 in reserve.

You would think the reserve amount would be divisible by its mag size. ... Maybe the guy fired a shot previously already and forgot to reload.

I prefer more kick in my shot. I don't miss so I don't need the higher ROF.
