Brink offers only two "long/sniper rifles" and many other assault rifles, smg′s and so on :)

With one bolt-action and one semi-automatic rifle, there isn't much need for other ones anyway, imo.

ok thx, too bad you couldn't customize certain assault riles to be semi-auto in exchange for making it more accurate.

With all the customization options for other weapons I see no need for more than 2 LRs as long as they get just as much customization.

Long rifles, yes.

There are also 5 assault rifles, 5 SMGs, 5 sidearms (plus 2 pre-order ones), 3 MGs, 2 shotguns and 2 grenade launchers.

I hear the Rokstedi Assault Rifle (FN-Scar) is semi automatic, 15 shots, superior accuracy and very low recoil.

I'm quite positive that I've seen the Scar lookalike firing in full auto in a video.

The M14 lookalike would make a lot more sense to be semi-auto.

Or maybe rate-of-fire is low enough it's easily fired in signle shots. It'd make much more sense than an only-semi-auto assault rifle.

Yeah, after all they did to fit an RPG into the second teaser, youd've thought they'd have an RPG in there.

Maybe it was scrapped shortly after.

There is no RPG in the render trailer.

We see a rocket flying, yes. But the guy who supposedly shoots it, doesn't have a RPG but seems to fire a grenade launcher type of weapon.

Actually, it's very hard to tell - he has his back toward us and his back blocks almost all, if not all, if the weapon in question.

It does look rocket propelled, but since that vid also has flips, rolls, and dual weilding, I'll file that one under "non-canon".

A RPG would be positioned on his shoulder. Ergo, no RPG. :spotted owl:

I would also appreciate a 3-round burst option; a good middle ground, balancing accuracy and damage.

yes would be nice, if they want interactive customization, we should be able to flip the fire switch on the guns and switch between fully auto, semi auto and single fire modes :)

That's essentially 3 guns in one. In terms of balance (this is a game not real life) it makes more sense to simply offer 3 different guns - each with a different firing mode.

Not to mention the selection of attachments will let each rifle have a couple of dozen variants...
