Than the spandex suit you get for the Dark Brotherhood... what they give you doesnt even make sense... skin-tight leather, with no armour in an ice cold climate? The riften guard armour works much better. Its both dark and is a usable armour.

DB armor looks like you're into bdsn and all that.
The DB armour looks childish. Now, the armour the Riften guards wear is very nice.
You mean the clown armor. Yeah, get rid of the studs and make it black with some hints of red with an oversized cowl that actually covers the face and upper torso that gives the illusion of weather protection, but I guess the clown look was the way to go
I normally just wear the boots that the DB gives you and maybe the gloves but keep whatever armor I am wearing at the time on. Which is probably some guard armor from one of the cities,
I actually like the Dark Brotherhood armour.....especially when it's on their corpses!
Guard Armor makes me look fat...
Assassin armor for me is just normal citizens clothing. I prefer to blend in with society rather than Shadows.
I'm usually either in fur armour (or forsworn or saviour's hide), or clothes, depending on if I'm a barbarian or an archer and where I am and what I'm doing. Can't say any of the armours look good to me but if any do I guess it is guard armours.
TG master armor, Nightingale hood, vampire boots and the master armor gauntlets. Perhaps the black guard hood for when you're not completing a contract or cleaning a home of all it's valuables, just a nice hood to keep the rain and sun off your face. This is the perfect assassin armor IMO.

I find the entire appearance of the Dark Brotherhood to be a joke in Skyrim. They looked so much better in Morrowind and Oblivion.
My Dragonborn assassinates his targets just fine in Daedric armor. If I wanted to go with a stealth assassin look, I'd probably go with the Nightengale armor.
When I go around all sneaky-like, I always run with a mixed bag of armor. Solitude guard armor chestpiece, Imperial scout's leather helmet, steel imperial gauntlets, and leather imperial boots. But yeah, that armor is awesome.
