Rik Mayall dies

Post » Mon Jun 09, 2014 11:48 pm

Really sad to hear Rik Mayall has died. For many people he's best known as Rick in The Young Ones, but he's also famous for many other appearances in Bottom, Blackadder, The Comic Strip Presents and numerous others.

He was 56.

I just read about it on a news site.

Rest in peace Rik.

You were very funny.

WTF? Rik Mayall is dead? I spent all this weekend watching all of The New Statesman for the fist time. Damn this svcks, loved Bottom, his appearances in Blackadder, the Comic Strip Presents, the Young Ones. Funny guy Rik Mayall, you can't beat a good bit of slapstick fun or just him playing a right, unlikable [censored] as he so often did.

For the benefit of non-Brits, aside from his TV appearances Rik also played the title character in Drop Dead Fred.

I'm gutted. Farewell to the world's stupidest bottom burp.

That's really sad. Very young, like Mel Smith. He was a groundbreaking comedian.
