I was reading some sections of the Beginners Guide to Daggerfall had not read before and in one of 'em the writer said that Hircine's Ring is a buckler that is equipped in the Ring slot. Normally, my reaction would've been 'Whatever' and I would've continued to read. But it just so happens I restricted myself during character creation from using anything other than a Kite Shield and Longsword, ever (I'm starting to think that was a bad idea...). So if Hircine's Ring is a buckler and i restricted myself from using bucklers I won't be able to use it, right? Or will the 'equipping in the ring slot' stuff allow me to use it anyway?
