Ring of Minor Blocking

Post » Fri Nov 22, 2013 3:22 am

So I have been adventuring with this Ring of Minor Blocking since the beginning hours...not once, either in loot or at a shopkeeper, have I found anything greater than Minor Blocking. Anyone know if there is a loot table "bug" that prevents you from finding anything greater? Or am I just that unlucky?

I'm level 54 now, so I should be finding Peerless level blocking rings.

It's hard to find a specific item with a specific enchantment, have you changed up your game with mods or anything since then? Maybe that's your problem. If not then you can try going to Belethor and do the save, kill, reload thing and maybe 1 of the times you load up he'll have what you seek (General goods stores are where I bought all my enchanted rings/amulets).

Also you could be that unlucky as Skyrim senses when you seek something and then it can be the rarest item in game, even a steel ingot :P

Also known as the Inverse Law of Desirability - The probability of an item appearing is inversely proportional to its desirability.

ha well that really applies to dating but Skyrim is indeed 1 of those fickle women as she only offers what I need once I lose interest and have moved on :P

Isn't the finds on some items related to the Enchantment level? I tend to notice when I boost Enchantment, I find better stuff.

It could be a coincidence, though.

If it is not coincidence, it would make sense. It would be hardly game breaking to give you something you can just make for yourself anyway...

I had a friend who was convinced that we all live in hell. Why else would weeds grow faster than anything else in your lawn, why would all good foods be fattening or otherwise bad for your health, and last but not least, whatever you really want seems to be the one thing you can't get, but then if you get it, you find out it really wasn't what you wanted after all?

:D

I've had this happen with "(insert magic item here) of Water Breathing," because I am always hoping to find one since it really levels your enchanting skill quickly when crafting magical items with that enchantment.
