Ring of Perfection

Post » Sun Jul 25, 2010 6:39 pm

I've been reading the wiki this evening, and came across what looks like an awesome ring... fortifies all attributes by +10.

I've never come across this ring in all my many MANY hours playing Oblivion, so I'm interested to know whether anyone has ever found it? And if so, tell us the tale(s)!

The ring seems too good to be true, I'm wondering if it's actually a myth....

I start finding many of these kind of items past level 20, My best luck in finding the higher end loot occurs in boss chests in Ayleid ruins, and at the end of Mythic enemy dungeons. When I first started playing the Shivering Isles, most of the items would show up randomly for purchase in the SI shops, but I also was playing level 30+ characters.

My current very high level character has about 5 of them stashed away.

Now she's like: "Oh, another ring of Perfection, ho hum I'll just through it on the pile with the others"

Found a couple on Dremora Valkynaz too. There are better rings, the iron fist, mundane and sorcerer's spring to mind.

Level 22 is when high end jewelry like Rings of Perfection, Iron Fist, etc. start showing up.

I also like the Sorcerer's ring.

ring of perfection? pfft, what your really want, you are a breton right? You seem like a breton, is the mundane ring, it'll make you magick invulnerable, thats right immune to magick...if your a breton, and i mean you are a breton right? If not the ring of the iron fist is pretty awesome too

Also for a guaranteed good ring, kill camaron's son in paradise, he keeps respawning so i got like four mundane rings off of him before i got too bored

And where's the money in that? Or the fun, in any case.

My warrior has the Ring of War, raised Endurance, Strength, Blade, Blunt, Heavy Armor, Armorer, and Hand-to-hand by 10. Worth like 10k gold.

Altmer actually... but thanks for the insult... Iron fist looks good - esp with 33% reflect damage..

What I don't get though, is that even with my higher level characters (30+) I've never come across the ring of Perfection - Savlian, where oh where did you find them?? reckon I need to start diving in some Alyeid ruins now... although probably pointless until Brandi is a higher level (she's only 5 at the mo', bless...)

Thanks all!

Actually Mythic Creature dungeon are even better for finding magical items. Places like Crayfish Cave or Kingscrest Caverns.

You're right!

I have OOO and MMM and this is how I handled all those creatures:

Spoiler

A lesser Balrog (spell?) was chasing me and although I can take him on OK, instead I led him into the cave. There were a zillon ogres, golems, and lesser gargoyles and it would have taken me forever to work through them. Instead the Balrog took care of most of them, I took care of the rest. :flamethrower: Then I took care of the Balrog. In the last cave there were Ogres and Savage Trolls and they were going at it. So I didn't have to deal with all of them myself. That huge crab scared me because I didn't see it at first but it turned out to be easy to beat. All in all, fun times for everybody (or at least me). :twirl:

He was going to KILL me!!!! And my nerves were on edge and I was jumpy and stuff. So I just swung away and it was over in an instant. :violin: I didn't realize I was so much stronger than a gigantic crab. I still remember the days when a mud crab could slay me with one hit.

BTW, I used to be scared of implings but now I think they are so cute and they have such cute squeaks. I won't kill them but they will kill themselves by smashing themselves against my body. So I have to run away from implings to save their lives. :D

If you have 50+ skill in mercantile, check out Earil's Mysteries over in New Sheoth, Shivering Isles every now and again (when his inventory renews).

After my over 2 1/2 years of playing Oblivion, I found that ring, for the first time, in a cave I was exploring a few days ago.

This is the combo my decrepit avatar wears, replaced only for specialized situations, such as when he needs to go undetected (chamo enhancement), swim for lengthy stretches underwater, or see better underwater (otherwise he relies on a torch). But those are exceptions.
